I have used other makes of screen protector in the past and this one by Anker really stands out!

It works well, tending to avoid the "bubbles" generated by other films - in part thanks to its careful design and the detailed instructions that come with it.

Highly recommended - you can buy this product with confidence!

5.0 out of 5 stars works well, easy to use, well worth the price, 16 May 2012

I am using this cable with my new MacBook Pro and it works a treat!

It is very flexible, surprisingly light and transmits image and sound superbly over its 5m length.

This cable fits the Mini DisplayPort well and gives the impression of being of modern and robust construction. Its simplicity, elegance and performance make it seem like an Apple product - it really appears to have been designed to be a match for Apple products aesthetically as well as in relation to performance.

I have tested it on various TVs and the results are always excellent - although using an Apple TV and switching on the AirPlay mirroring function is a more elegant solution for big screen viewing it is a very useful product when travelling.

Go for it !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars great product - really high quality!, 27 April 2012

I wanted a cable to connect my MacBook to an external Western Digital hard drive (USB 2.0 input/output).

This is a true high quality cable - it has gold connectors and is well insulated.

The data transfer rates I am getting are close to the theoretical maximum for the USB 2.0 standard - I have no complaints whatsoever.

Go for it!

4.0 out of 5 stars nice Cirque show, 18 July 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good show by Cirque du Soleil - though nothing out of the ordinary by their own high standards.

Fans of Cirque will love it.

Did not like the wide screen presentation - seemed artificially compressed on my 16:9 plasma TV. Also, clearly shot on video as opposed to film/HDTV like some of the other Cirque DVDs.

Still, easily worth the asking price.

This is high quality product and well worth the price.

It is useful, as its length gives a bit more flexibility when charging the iPhone.

The cable is of robust construction and likely to last a long time.

3.0 out of 5 stars dour but serious examination of world's largest country, 2 Jun. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Given the dearth of other material of this type about Russia, this documentary series is a relatively interesting introduction to the culture and history of the world's largest country as well as a beautiful visual portrait of its urban and rural landscapes. However, the programs do not go into sufficient detail regarding Russia's history and they leave the ambivalence of Russians regarding democracy as a bit of an enigma. A lot of work went into this series (Dimbleby travelled 10,000 miles in his journey)! Despite this, one always has the sense of a land viewed from the outside by a foreigner who never lived there and who has no deep understanding of its people or its culture. A more in-depth treatment of the Mongol invasions or the World Wars could have enlightened viewers about why Russians see their country as one surrounded by enemies and always under threat of invasion. Better profiles of Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great or Joseph Stalin could have helped viewers understand why Russians expect their leaders to be "strong" i.e. capable of making tough choices and defending them against these threats. I think that the way Russians see democracy as of secondary importance and something to be resolved later was well illustrated in the series. The explanation of why they have these attitudes somewhat less so. The photography and technical side of the production was first rate throughout.

4.0 out of 5 stars lighthearted travelogue of modern china, 2 Jun. 2009

This review is from: Paul Merton in China [DVD] (DVD)
Merton's programs are an interesting and lighthearted travelogue of modern China. Although this series does not delve much into China's history, Merton's light comedy approach to its present day culture keeps it watchable and entertaining. There is also a superficial presentation of some of the country's natural history. My only criticisms would be the thin content and that he only ever seems to interview doting anglophiles. If you want to see a sweeping panorama of China's landscapes, explore its imperial dynasties or find out why it is poised to become the world's next big economic superpower you'll have to look elsewhere. A good starter, however, for anyone who wants to find out more about this fascinating land.

5.0 out of 5 stars informative and entertaining history of south asia, 31 May 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I enjoyed Michael Wood's series about the history the Indian subcontinent. Wood's enthusiasm for the subject matter and his own natural personal sympathy make this a pleasant virtual journey for the viewer. The programs are divided into specific historical periods (pre-history, mauryean dynasty, kushan empire, the golden age, muslim incursions and the british raj) and are well focused, maintaining a good balance between transmitting factual information and illustrating local attitudes through personal interviews. I checked the information given in these programs using online encylopedias and found the material to be generally well researched, presenting the salient points of a vast and rich history (Wood says that he would need a 1,000 films to show it all)! Just a small demur - although widely accepted, the theory of the Aryan invasions of northwest India has been brought into doubt by recent scientific research showing that there there has been no significant change in the genetic composition of the people of South Asia for at least the last 10,000 years. It would have been nice if Wood could have presented the alternative explanation of the development of an indigenous Indo-Aryan culture. Other than that - well done Beeb!
