5.0 out of 5 stars King of the head torches!, 7 Nov 2013

Light weight and comfortable to wear, powerful light but with the option of power-saving beam. A great product from a company with a great pedigree in these products. Well recommended.

I was delighted with this. It is smart and sturdy and has holes in all the right places to protect your ipad2 without impeding it's functions. Well recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magnificent follow on from Darkness Prevails, 28 Oct 2010
This review is from: Blessed & Cursed (Audio CD)
This is the album that I hoped to get when I bought "A Fragile Hope" (which sounds like the same song repeated 10 times!). Their debut EP Darkness Prevails (Special Edition/+DVD especially recommended) finished with the breath-taking "Like it's your last" and this album is a natural progression. Mellower in places with the anger and screeching toned down, get this album to discover the meaning of aural soundscapes.
The track listing is not that given above, but the same as for the MP3 album, which is:
1. Tides
2. Drowning/Sinking
3. Callous Heart
4. An Ocean Of Lights
5. Frozen
6. The Disappointment
7. Crane Lake
8. A Foreboding Sky
9. The Weight Of Faith
10. Truth Has Come
11. Death Surrounds You

5.0 out of 5 stars Comedy Gold from Steve Coogan, 13 Aug 2009
All of Steve Coogan's best bits including the classic Alan Partridge material, Gareth Cheeseman in "Dearth of a Salesman," Saxondale and the Paul and Pauline Calf Video Diaries (previously only available on VHS video). Well recommended and great value at this price. The disc labelling problems seem to have been sorted out now.

Plaintive and haunting and beautiful. . It will worm its way into your affections. Little girl lost vocals and raw guitar. Can't recommend it highly enough.

3.0 out of 5 stars Re-recorded hits, not the 70's originals, 20 Nov 2008
This review is from: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
I would agree with G. Walters "Diz" that these are not the original recordings that were in the charts in the seventies. Not bad versions, but obviously different and possibly re-recorded much later. I would have been more disappointed if the review hadn't warned me, but I hoped the fault lay with G. Walters' memory!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great watch for travel or outdoor activity, 3 Mar 2008
This simple light-weight, well constructed watch is 10cm long, 5.5 cm wide and can be clipped on to a belt loop or bag. Ideal for hot climates or environments where you don't want a strap around your wrist. The face spins so it can be seen either way up. While spun out there is a button below the 6 which can be pressed in to illuminate the face with the Indiglo light. By pulling it out you can rotate it to set the time. It is a bit fiddly but the time once set, will rarely need to be changed. The second hand wasn't moving when it arrived, but it started when I set the time and so far it has performed with Timex reliability and accuracy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little travel speakers, 26 Feb 2008
Nice compact little unit which runs on battery or mains. Loud enough and reasonable quality to provide music from your MP3 player in your hotel room on holiday. Great value for the money. Recently used to provide music at a BBQ on a campsite in the Lake District. Others were greatly impressed and said what a great little unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't be a zebra, get your Milk Teeth. So wonderfully pretty!, 21 Sep 2007
This review is from: Milk Teeth (Audio CD)
A brilliant debut from the band that is currently setting the East Midlands rock scene alight, cutting a pink swathe through the tedium of manufactured music, the posturers and the posers. Band members Tori Trash, Joey Strange, Crip and Danny Gunn are some of the youngest punk rockers on the circuit. Not letting their tender years hold them back, they have toured all over the UK and have been likened to genre leaders The Yeah Yeah Yeah's and Nirvana. Also a nod to early Siouxsie and the Banshees and Bow Wow Wow. Think Johnny Thunders Heartbreakers or New York Dolls with YYY's Karen O singing.

Tori squawks, squawbles and croons as the guys pump out the jam to a new generation of rock'n'rollers, re-kindling the excitement of rock rebellion. As Pure Rawk so eloquently put it, `Take elements of trash, glam, punk and sleaze - find four mates with plenty of glitter and attitude, chuck it all together and there you have Patchwork Grace.'

Here is the album that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs having been trying to make to no avail. Sexy girly vocals with thundering, but melodic rock backing. Great version of The Cure's Love Cats - they've taken a great song and made it their own. Catch them live before they get too big! When you buy this there's no going back to your old blands, you won't be able to get the hook vocal of Zebra out of your head!

5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly their best studio output to date, 27 July 2007
This review is from: Is Is Ep (Audio CD)
5 good tracks making up a good value EP. More upbeat than "Show Your Bones", quite melodic and not quite as shouty/squawky as earlier stuff. Reminiscent of Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bow Wow Wow and Patchwork Grace.
