A lot of repetitive information in this book. The whole book could have been reduced to less than half its size containing the same information. Being co-written by three authors with different expertise I would have expected more information and examples. It would have helped to compare notes with other clinics doing research on the same subject and their findings. Again, comparing treatments would have been useful. I wouldn't classify it as the best written book on the subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent book on IBS, 11 Sep 2009
A very well written book addressed to those people coping with IBS. It is written in a very simple, easy to understand language and gives numerous examples and explanations as to why some things might work for some people and why it doesn't for other people. To make you understand what type of IBS you have, it has a questionnaire at the beginning of the book guiding you as whether this might be your problem and the steps you need to take. The author has done a lot of research and treated a lot of people with IBS trying to find an explanation each time something helped or it stopped working. It offers an insight into a wide range of IBS symptoms and possible treatments/solutions. This is an excellent book for someone who had IBS for many years and tried to cope with it.

An interesting journey in discovering what causes cancer: starting with environment problems, drinking water, food, vaccinations and emotions plus methods of treating cancer: from conventional treatments (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hyperthermia, photodynamic therapy, bone transplants, cryosurgery etc.) to alternative therapy (acupuncture, homeopathy, bach flower remedies, diets, vitamins, minerals and herbs etc.)

Having lost four pets of her own due to cancer, the author investigates every possible link into what causes cancer and if there is a way to treat it and how successful these methods are at the moment. She interviewed a lot of scientists, manufactures, vets and she quotes statistics to back up her research.

It is an in-depth research into all possible subjects linked to cancer. It is well written and well presented. Very useful for those owners who are coping with such problems and they're doing their best to help their pet.
