4.0 out of 5 stars Not working on Kindle Fire HD but perfect on the HDX, 27 Jun 2014

Loaded the app, created an email account and logged in. The app then asks what skills you want to improve, then I ended up in a loop. It kept asking me to login, asking these questions, but I couldn't get beyond that point. I tried logging in via Facebook, but had the same results.

I then tried running the app on my Kindle Fire HDX and it works perfectly. The games are fun, challenging and well presented. The daily session is quick. So it's great if you just have a few minutes and want to sharpen your English and mental skills in a game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great magazine, 25 April 2014

Like a lot of magazine apps, the app is free but you then use it to purchase the magazines and read them inside the app. Digital mags are much cheaper than the paper version and this one displays perfectly on my Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets. And they don't take up storage space like paper magazines.

I love this game, it's beautiful, relaxing and challenging. The soundtrack is soothing and keeps you relaxed through tougher levels.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for me..., 12 Feb 2013

Thought I'd try this as it was the free app today. It didn't last 5 mins before I uninstalled it. Graphically, this game seems to be constructed from photo backdrops and clip art pasted badly on top. And clipped pics of characters too. Repetitive play and cheesy music really don't help. As a whole it just feels poorly put together. You can hit x to stop it sending updates to FB or Twitter, and it runs ok, but I wouldn't recommend this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game :), 30 Dec 2012

Beautiful and addictive game. Contre Jour is refreshingly different, my partner loves it too :) Well worth snapping it up while it's on sale! If you're having screen rotation issues on Kindle Fire, drag down top bar and click where it says unlocked on the top menu. That locks your screen if you don't want it to rotate. Pity a good game gets bad reviews from users who don't know about this.

Love this game, graphics are excellent and it plays perfectly. You need to lock the screen to prevent it flipping upside-down, but I have experienced that problem with other games, so it seems to be a Kindle problem. Easy fixed though, and well worth it -this is a brilliant game. BF and I had a blast on it this morning. Though he refuses to let me borrow his bike now....

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely background noise app, 5 Nov 2012

White Noise has a good range of different noises that are perfect for creating a mood while you're working, relaxing or just trying to confuse friends and pets. My dog is baffled by the purring cat noise! App works well for me, no trouble closing it etc on Kindle Fire HD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mouse, especially considering the price., 2 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This mouse is very comfortable to use and works on every surface I've tried - bare legs and top of small lap dog included (don't ask!) I have fairly small hands and don't have trouble using it for longer periods or reaching the buttons. It feels solid but it's still light in weight. Click noises are quite soft, there is no noise when you scroll.

The resolution light is bright if you're looking at your mouse enough to notice. You don't see it when your hand is on the mouse though. You could easily put a bit of masking tape over it to soften the light, but it shouldn't bother you unless you stare at your mice.

Worked perfectly on my Linux system (Mint 13 KDE) without any configuration. The resolution switch and back/forward buttons don't need to be set up to work.
