5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality bag, 7 Dec. 2014
Brought for my husband as a gift. He's 6'4" tall with size 12 shoes so finds travel bags too small to accommodate his clothes and shoes. This bag fits the bill and comfortably accommodates everything required for a weekend away. What's more it's great quality and should last for years. Mine still looks like new after a decade of regular use

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as described by Amazon, 20 Mar. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I love Kipling products because of their excellent organisation, range of pockets and holders for my various bits and bobs. There is nothing wrong with the quality of this backpack, simply that Amazon has not done its homework and has not correctly described this bag. It is indeed a medium size backpack, I brought the cactus green and it is a lovely vibrant colour. It has padded handles and is comfortable to use. However, it does not have the range of pockets or organisation outlined in the Amazon description. There are no pen loops, no phone slip pockets. All there are are a large an smaller outside pocket as shown in the photo. The smaller pocket is just about big enough for keys and phone. That is of course is you want to keep your keys and phone in the same pocket. The larger pocket is big enough for a small tablet, wallet etc. However this all depends on whether you are happy to risk security and keep valuables exposed in this way especially as this pocket has a double sip and so very easy to get into. Inside there is a small interior zip pocket - just about big enough to take my medium size purse and nothing else. The backpack is an open space and roomy enough. I have managed to pack a small folded jacket & various bits and bobs so spacious for a medium backpack. I ended up keeping this as I needed to use it the day it arrived. However, I would have returned under normal circumstances as the bag was not what I was looking for and lacked the organisation I was expecting

3.0 out of 5 stars It works - that's the best I can say, 1 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have a Blackberry Bold which is used as a spare mobile by my company and the OEM battery that came with it suddenly failed. Having tried the usual sources to obtain a replacement - mobile phone stores and been told to "look on the internet", I realised it was a case of taking a punt on a random selection of small online sellers and hoping I could find a reliable replacement. It was clear from the mixed reviews it would be a hit and miss affair.

I needed the battery quickly, have Amazon Prime and although this sale did not qualify for Prime, it did promise free delivery and stated delivery in 3 days time. Do not be seduced by the "UK Next Day Delivery" logo on the seller's site. Total rubbish - battery was despatched 5 days after ordering and arrived a couple of days later. Interestingly the company itself sent me it's own customer service survey asking whether I had received the battery within 2 weeks of ordering (that seems to be it's target).

The battery that arrived did look more or less like an OEM RIM battery i.e. the Blackberry logo, print, model numbers etc were similar in terms of wording, positioning but the print was badly faded so very difficult to tell. However, I could not say if it was new or not. It was not sealed and came in a small unsealed plastic bag that was a couple of sizes too small. The battery was badly scratched and the print was severely faded. Having said that, the battery seemed intact, it had arrived with the connectors pointing downwards in the bag so at least an attempt to protect them and so I suspect this was an unpacked battery that had been knocking around a warehouse somewhere.

We nervously placed the battery in the phone and connected the phone to a USB port. The battery charged with no problems and after couple of weeks holds it's charge well. In spite of external appearance, the battery I received does the job. I get the sense that it is very much "buyer beware" with replacement batteries

5.0 out of 5 stars A godsend, 12 Dec. 2013
I have had a full hip replacement at my young age and have been desperately trying to remain as independent as possible. I was given a "helping hand" grabber by my hospital physio and was so impressed that I decided to see what other aids The Helping Hand Company makes. Since I can't bend down I have tended to go tight and sock less. However Soxon has been a godsend and has enabled me to put on socks and tights without help which means I am at least dressed like my old self. I couldn't fathom how it works but it is simple to use and very effective. In fact the concept is so simple, it is one of those things I wish I'd invented myself. I can highly recommend this gadget to anyone with mobility issues who struggles to bend down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy weekend travel bag, 29 Oct. 2013
I purchased the bag for a weekend away. I am currently walking with sticks so needed a lightweight bag with a cross body bag. I am a big Kipling fan and this bag is to the usual quality. The bag is both attractive and lightweight, relatively easy to pack and has the benefit of an expanding gusset for additional space. Configuration inside the main body is good. It would have benefited from a double zip to the main body and mobile phone pocket/ wallet pocket & zip lanyard in the front pockets rather than in the main body. Nobody wants to see your dirty pants each time you get your mobile phone or purse out. Overall the bag is great value for money and I can highly recommend

Kipling Suitcase Bloomwood L, 49,5x78,5x30 cm, - Marrone (Marron (Expresso Brown)), K13389740_Espresso

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish and functional - but Amazon is inconsistent with packaging, 15 Sept. 2011
I got 2 large Broomwood's for a bargain price compared to the high street. I can highly recommend these -- they are lightweight but very sturdy. I had already sussed out the size I wanted on the highstreet so was aware of the dimensions -- these were not clear on the site. There are plenty of pockets for segregating items and overall, this is a quality product. Beware -- the large really is large and there is a danger of exceeding say a 20kg baggage allowance if filled. This is best suited for a 2 week holiday -- if you are looking for a case for a few days away or if you have a weight restriction, consider the medium size. What was interesting was that although the order was made for 2 and they arrived together, it was clear that they had come from different Amazon depots -- one was well packaged in a proper packaging sack, the other was wrapped in what seemed to be a large bin bag reinforced in packaging tape -- it took over half an hour to open and there was no way this packaging could be re-used if I decided to return the item

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice bag but Amazon please provide a better description, 2 Mar. 2011
The bag is as per usual Kipling quality -- nice leather and nice styling. It's an absolute bargain at the price I paid -- I have the chalk colour which was on offer but now appears to have sold out. The disappointment is the bag description on the Amazon site. There is minimal information. The bag description was "large" and "leather". This is not good enough. The Kipling site was down at my time of purchase so I could not check the bag dimensions and description independently. The bag itself is huge -- I have overnight bags that are this size and in fact this substantially limits its use. I can easily fit my 15 inch lap top, multiple files etc. Additionally, unlike the Kipling nylon bags, it only has minimal pockets -- a single zip pocket and a mobile phone pocket with 2 pen pockets and no further dividers. The inside is a thin cotton lining which at the full price is disappointing. If you are looking for a leather shoulder bag for day to day essentials or an organiser type bag with lots of pockets, this bag is unlikely to be for you. I kept my bag because as I say it was substantially reduced and will get some use -- personally I find it far too large for a day to day bag. A major factor in deciding to keep it was that the packaging it arrived in was badly damaged and I really struggled to find something large enough to pack it in to return to Amazon without risking damage in transit and invalidating my refund. If you are considering a full priced option at £200+, please think hard whether this bag is for you and whether there are not better options. Had Amazon published the full bag details on the website, I probably would not have ordered it!

Kipling Taya A4 Shoulder Bag
Kipling Taya A4 Shoulder Bag

2.0 out of 5 stars This is definitely not a shoulder bag, 4 Feb. 2010
The product description really does not reflect what you get. OK it's a nice funky bag, but it is taller than it is wide. The main downside is that the straps are way too short for use as a shoulder bag. Even my 8 year old daughter could not get it onto her shoulder comfortably wearing indoor winter clothes. It did not go on my shoulder at all wearing a suit jacket. It can only really be used as a grab bag and because of its height it trails close to the ground risking damage. It just about takes A4 items if placed horizontally, you really need to stack them vertically which makes for a problem removing them. It may be OK for a tall person happy to use it as a grab bag. Personally I do not think it is practical for use as an office/school bag -- there are better (Kipling) products out there
