1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this - cheap camera, Wi-Fi has issues. Support no help at all., 3 Oct 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Simply awful cheap rubbish - didn't work with Wi-Fi out of the box and support were zero help. Be careful buying this if you expect jt to work with Wi-Fi. It didn't detect any wireless networks out of the box, although my wireless network is strong and works very well. Played around with my router / WAP settings to no avail - the camera did not detect a single thing. So after looking at the support site, decided to try upgrading the firmware as this appears to be a common problem with this camera. No joy - you have to ensure you select exactly the right version of upgrade that is wholly dependant on the version current on the camera. Nasty nasty nasty. Don't bother! Sent it back for a full refund.

This is a quite complex and very flimsy construction and literally falls apart as you are trying to build it. Complex and hard to understand instructions for my 7 year old, and it took me most of the day to build. Then it fell apart! No where near as good as Lego, this is a poorly made copy that has bad build quality. The conveyor belt falls apart as you are building it and unless I have mis understood the instructions, does not appear to move properly anyway. I am considering super glueing this all together because it's quite useless otherwise. Also at least one of the Daleks does not stay completed - it keeps coming apart. Badly constructed and full of flaws. Avoid at all costs! How the BBC endorses this I don't know!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible leaky, cheap rubbish. Avoid at all costs., 14 Sep 2011
I purchased a pair of these Guideway Mid boots mid summer and used them mainly for walking the dog in the local woods. Not brilliant quality, nor did they feel as comfortable as my Hi-tech pair of boots, but they did the job. Come the Autumn bank holiday weekend, I took the family camping in Wales, where predictably the weather turned wet and it belted down and the field we were in became very waterlogged. The first time I walked across the field, both feet got absolutely soaked because of water leaking in through the bottom of the soles! The boots were no more than a couple of months old. Absolutely disgusted. Funnily enough, I bought some Regatta wellies last year and the same thing happened within 3 weeks. It seems like the chinese manufacturer Regatta use to make this stuff simply don't know how to make a waterproof sole. Avoid at all costs, really nasty quality stuff. Mankind has, as far as I am aware, enjoyed the ability to make waterproof soles for hundreds of years. Who knows what's going on at Regatta, but thats the last time I spend any money on their clothing.

So far no joy with customer services either!

2.0 out of 5 stars Very flimsy and badly put together!, 19 Feb 2011
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
Had this helicopter ordered for Xmas, because of Royal Mail it arrived in January!
After the 2nd flight, as lots of other people have stated, the small metal pins that pivot the stabiliser bar came loose and the thing was un-flyable.
I managed to make some more from clipping small parts from a paper clip, which is about the same diameter as the original pins, and this helped.
All in all, if you crash this copter, you are in for a world of trouble - its far too flimsy and its very difficult, nigh on impossible to get spares for it.
I emailed ThumbsUk and they ignored my email.

Battery life is dire - you are lucky to get more than 8 minutes flight from this, which is a great shame because when it is flying, its a fantastic helicopter!
With a better battery life and more durable build quality, this would come highly recommended.
But to be honest, I'd avoid this and go for the Syma S107 instead. Yes, the Syma is not as quick in forward flight, but its better built and has at least a 10 minute battery capacity.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good looking, but a bit thick!, 4 Dec 2004
I am great fan of the original Ghost Recon, but I am sadly disappointed with the new Recon 2. It has some gorgeous graphics, but the AI of your troops and the enemy is dull as dishwater. The mission is now totally linear as opposed to Recon 1 where you could choose how to attack each mission. Your troops are thick as theives, they take enemy fire without taking cover and rarely attack back effectively, leaving you to do all the work. The stealthy atmosphere of the original is totally lost as enemy run right at you without a care in the world, and even then sometimes they dont see you. Re-loading and changing weapons takes an age - yes ok its realistic, but its still annoying! Crouching, standing and lying down takes years as well. Not good when the enemy seem to be much better at it than you! This game feels, in two words: rushed / disappointing. This should have been excellent and I have been waiting all year for it. Take a look at Halo 2 for a sublime piece of coding heaven, the AI in Halo is what we should have here in Recon 2. Multiplayer is much better fun with a bunch of mates, at least then you have some brainpower in your troops and enemy! Fans of the original may be dissapointed. Dont play Halo 2 first then this after - do it the other way round!
