3.0 out of 5 stars Emphasis too much an gradient for me, 4 Jun 2010

A book like this throws is never going to please everyone but for met there is too much emphasis on really steep climbs. I would like to have seen mention of the Cotsowlds, Malvern Hills and the Forest of Dean where there are some of the best climbs in the country.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 12 Feb 2010

This is a brilliant book that explains how scientists over more than two and a half thousand years have arrived at the current understanding of how the universe was created.

Particularly interesting is how many of the scientists like to hang on to theorys that they invented in the face of new evidence.
