Keep Stepping!: Essential Ways to Lead Yourself and Others Through Challenge and Change: (19 Step Self Leadership)
by Joy Marsden
Edition: Paperback
Price: £12.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational Motivational and Grounded in Reality, 8 Dec. 2015
I purchased Joy's book when I saw her speak at a CIMA South England event. This was the third time I have seen her speak.

There are an awful lot of books out there on self management and self leadership.

Often these books tell stories of people who are big names.

This book is different. It shares tips and ideas based on Joy's own experiences.

It's a really easy read, hugely motivational and will get you into action.

Definitely a great investment and a book I know I will go back to for inspiration and motivation time and time again.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read If You Are Serious About Business Success, 27 Oct. 2015
Length:: 1:19 Mins

When you pick up this book you wonder if it is going to provide real insight. It's short and to the point.

In many ways it is a reflection of Roger's ability to get to the point, cut out the waffle and show what really makes a business successful.

If you are serious about business success this book should be on your reading list.

5.0 out of 5 stars If You Want To Increase Your Chances Of Being A Partner This Book Is Essential Reading, 22 Oct. 2015
Length:: 1:37 Mins

This is a fantastic book and sets out clearly, step by step what you need to do in order to increase your chances of making the step from Director, Senior Manager or Senior Associate to Partner.

Unlike a lot of career books it has a very specific purpose rather than offering generic career advice.

5.0 out of 5 stars ... business books and this is up there among the best of them, 6 April 2015

I read a lot of business books and this is up there among the best of them. It's highly practical, with step by step instructions of what to do to put your learning into practice. This is not a shortcut to success book but I'm sure with disciplined action this book will help you to build your profile and achieve the kind of results you want.

Robert Middleton is someone who has the ability to simplify things when it comes to marketing. I therefore had high expectations of this book.

As always Robert did not disappoint. I was unsure whether reading the book and trying the process would actually work.

After reading I took the next step and applied to an area of my business where I was feeling stuck.

Having done this I have identified 9 specific actions that will move things forward.

If you are looking for a process to get you to stop, reflect, challenge your thinking and move into action, this book is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars If You Are Ready For Action This Book Is For You, 13 Oct. 2014

I read this book without any expectation of what it would be like. Having done so I have to say I was really impressed. Sarah does a great job of getting you to look at yourself, your beliefs and face up to some tough realities.

Throughout the book she sets out many questions, encouraging you to stop and take stock. Don't think however this book is just about self reflection. It is clear that the desire is to encourage people to get into action.

The case studies towards the end of the book provided some great insights from a range of different professions.

If you are not getting what you want from your work and are ready to do something about it, this book is for you.
