A man with an acoustic guitar singing songs. In my opinion, the words are interesting and the melodies are catchy. Elliot Smith kind of stuff. Heavy themes, but indirect. Confounding even.
I mean, Dealing is assuredly better than kneeling, so Mary can't be his gal. I'm confident that he belongs out West, but is he really pro-littering? I read that he was, at one time, a truck driver, but that part about lot lizards isn't autobiographical ... is it? His name's written in water and he's gone again [the sound of my review being ripped in half].
I did not read the review of this album in Q, because I am a self-respecting individual and do not read Q. I listened to this album online before its release because, unlike the readers of Q, I am under 70 years old and I am proficient at internet.
Oh yeah, make sure you buy this from a company that pays its taxes.
PS: Here's the short film sampled during the album: watch?v=ULujCvXQ8Xc
