5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent book, 26 April 2015

This doesn't quite have the sledgehammer emotional impact and intensity of a hundred pieces of me but it's still full of emotion. It's a very good read with likeable realistic characters and an interesting storyline that keeps you guessing from start to finish. You meet some of the characters from previous books which is nicely done so they don't feel like a series that has to be read in order but it also helps you to believe in the place. It was especially nice to meet a particular character from the last book. If you enjoyed any of lucy Dillon s previous books you should enjoy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good read, 3 April 2015

Another enjoyable read from Clara Benson. The basic plot is quite similar to the Agatha Christie story 'cat among the pigeons' so the 'twist' wasn't really a surprise but I enjoyed the story all the same. Good mix of characters with a good (though maybe a little predictable) plot..

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, 18 Mar. 2015

Sometimes predictable, sometimes surprising and completely enjoyable with likeable interesting characters. If you enjoyed little lady agency and vintage girl I think you would also like this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, 9 Mar. 2015

I've now read two early novels and two later novels about Mike Malone and all of the ones I've read have had unusual plots (sometimes a little bit obvious ) and interesting characters and have been entertaining. Milly Reynolds has very imaginative ways of killing the animals off but perhaps she could write a Mike Malone in which no animals are harmed - just for a change.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant read, 9 Mar. 2015

I enjoyed the television series but this book bears very little resemblance to it. However it's a pleasant meander through days gone by. I did find it a bit too sweet and sentimental at times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Typical Trisha Ashley, 7 Mar. 2015
This review is from: Creature Comforts (Kindle Edition)
There's an interesting mix of unusual characters. I felt the car accident mystery went on a little bit too long but that didn't detract from enjoying the overall book.

5.0 out of 5 stars This series gets better, 4 Jan. 2015

This series gets better with each book. It is a series but each book could be read on it's own. Likeable main characters and a good twisty plot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another good read from Margaret Addison, 3 Jan. 2015
Another enjoyable murder mystery. As usual the murder took place quite a long way into the book but that gives you time to get to know the characters. There was an interesting mix of characters, some little twists to the plot and a little romance. However I'd realised the main twist well before the murder so that was rather obvious.Still a good read .

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant read, 31 Dec. 2014

Enjoyable though quite predictable. There was nothing really to dislike but equally it wasn't an exceptionally exciting or rivetting book. It was very much a cosy read.
