Absolutely fantastic little gadget. Forget the electronic versions, this is way more straightforward and works brilliantly well! Found the ceiling joists to mount a projector in no time at all.

Delivered quickly too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too flimsy, now in bin., 27 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First use caught a crab and small lobster (which we put back.)

Second use, the green line snapped when retrieving, and the net was empty as the seam along the main zip had totally failed allowing everything to escape.

Now in the bin, too Mickey Mouse I'm afraid.

2.0 out of 5 stars Targetted towards younger audience I feel, 3 Feb 2014
This review is from: The Hurricane (Paperback)
I was bought this as a gift, after reading and very much enjoying the Wool trilogy.

Problem is, nothing at all happens in this story! It revolves around an out of sorts teenager finding his feet in a fast moving, connected world.

SPOILER ALERT: Then, there is a hurricane, and the family fix the house. Erm, that's it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Parts missing, therefore useless., 6 Jan 2014
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
My 5 year old son received this as a gift at Christmas.

Upon opening the bag, we discovered there were 2 parts missing (1 missing, 1 duplicate).

This unfortunately meant it could not be built, even with improvising from existing Lego, as these pieces are bespoke moulded parts.

We have never, ever had a piece missing from a Lego set, there must be a quality control issue at the packaging stage.

In addition, there is not much there at all for the money, and it can be built in one form only, and sits uncomfortably between a kit and a toy, doing neither particularly well.

Avoid in my opinion.

1.0 out of 5 stars Currently Broken, don't recommend, 10 Dec 2013
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
EDIT: As of 25th February, there still remains a huge bug list.

You still cannot complete the campaign without getting your save game deleted if you play multiplayer.

Annoying, as it is great if you get a few hours problem free.

---

As it has been widely reported in the news, Battlefield 4 is currently broken, certainly on Xbox One and PS4.

It is an unstable, glitchy, disconnecting, crashing mess of a product at the moment. EA have stopped all new product development at DICE until they sort it, and EA's shares have gone down as a result.

In addition to it being broken, to be able to currently TRY to play ALL of the matches in multiplayer you have to spend ANOTHER £39.99 for battlefield premium, making the FULL game cost close to £100. If you don't do this, selecting those maps gives you a message asking you to buy expansions.

Oh, and if you plan to play single player whilst you wait for the dust to settle, it keeps corrupting save games and losing your progress.

Unfinished, do not buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for SKY HD feed to Xbox One, 9 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought one of these because the Xbox One TV function does not support passive pass through, i.e. If you have plugged your Sky box into HDMI input but your Xbox isn't on, then you can't watch Sky.

This solves the problem, simply plug one output into your regular input (for Wife/Children etc. to use as normal) and plug the other output into the Xbox One input.

There is no change in picture quality at all, and as for the VERY bright LED's, I simply put a little black electrical insulation tape over them, you can still see them, but there are very subtle now.

Now, if only the Xbox One supported TV functionality correctly, supported the Sky planner, and actually turned on when I said 'XBOX ON' then I'd be away!

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't understand the spirit of Flashpoint games, 31 Aug 2011
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Oh Dear!

Ten years on and this isn't a shadow of the original Flashpoint.

Ability to jump into and use and vehicle? NO!
Approach missions in any way you wish? NO! - follow the little red dots, as the game designer desires.
Advanced AI? NO!
Realistic? NO! - shot in the head? No problem, just put on a plaster and crack on...

Bad language and ridiculous load times? CHECK!
Paint by numbers approach to missions? CHECK!

Seriously, even the original xbox flashpoint elite from about 5 years ago (Written by a different company, the only thing this has in common is the name) had vehicles which could be used, a mission editor, FUN, and such things.

Glad I bought a cheap second hand version after being stung with the marketing vs game disparity of Dragon Rising, the previous outing in this series.

Some Kudos for drop in CO-OP, but little else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better quality than expected, 28 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Didn't quite know what to expect for the price, vs the apple cover, but wanted something to protect the back of the device as well as the screen.

Was pleased to find it is a nicely finished, quality cover - does the job well, strong enough to protect without being too 'fat'. Pictures don't actually do it justice.

Ordered another one for 2nd Ipad2!

As a console, the 360 is superb. Unfortunately it is very, very unreliable and extremelly likely to break down with less than 18 months with the dreaded red ring of death. Simply google to verify this fact.

Toshiba gigabeat MEGF40S 40GB MP3 Digital Audio Player
Toshiba gigabeat MEGF40S 40GB MP3 Digital Audio Player

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs work., 6 Sep 2005
After doing much research and making a shortlist of Ipod colour, Zen touch and the Gigabeat, I finally went the Toshiba route - seduced by the colour screen I guess.
I guess the maxim 'All that glitters is not gold' is often proved correct, as in this case.
Although the unit itself is beautifully built, the gigabeat is let down at present by poor sound quality on any equaliser setting except flat, and appalling software. These may be things which can be corrected with firmware and software upgrades in the future, but at present they are totally unacceptable.
I have 4000+ tracks, and the supplied 'Room' software goes to sleep for upwards of 10 minutes at a time after doing the most menial of tasks, because of the large number of tracks. (I have the 60gb model, did nobody realise this space would be used for... maybe a large number of tracks?)
The album art feature is great, except it doesn't work properly - as is widely reported on the net forums
The distortion problem again, is widely reported on the net forums, and yes, it still happens after spending £28 on new headphones.
The cross system I like, and is easy to use and get on with, once you have worked out the 'stroke' commands, like right to left to go back, and left to right to return to the track playing whilst browsing albums.
A final note on the picture viewer. All of your photos must be placed in one directory (upto 5000 photos) so actually finding the ones you wish to view is near impossible. This, coupled with the fact that the screen only supports 65535 colours is a bit of a weakness. The weakness of the screen manifests itself in solarising on the pictures, or bands of colour with obvious steps in shade.
So to summarise, proceed with caution. I would recommend listening to one first, and waiting until Toshiba sort out their software and firmware. Hope you're patient! If this happens, it could turn out to be an excellent purchase.
