A seriously fascinating read about seasonality with so many inspirational recipes to try, 9 Dec 2012
The British Larder cookbook is one of those books that you can sit down with a cup of tea and read from cover to cover. Madalene's passion for food and seasonal produce coupled with stunning photography and interesting recipes makes this a book a must for all kitchens. I have enjoyed reading the British Larder blog since it started but it's so nice to have a bound copy that I can rifle through as when I need inspiration! I have several favourite recipes already tried and tested which I cannot recommend more highly; like the Forced Rhubarb Jam, Lemom Curd tarts and the sensational Mincemeat recipe. There is something for everyone here- whether you know someone who loves cooking, an avid gardener or you need something to inspire you through the seasons- this books is a perfect gift to yourself or someone special.
