5.0 out of 5 stars Shoot Out, Gun Fight at the OK Coral, 1 Nov. 2006
This review is from: Clarkson - Shoot-Out [DVD] (DVD)
Wow, what can i say?? 71 minutes of pleasure as Geremy shows us the best cars from 2003, probably the best year for the motor vehicle. The cars he is looking for are the most fun to drive and i particulally liked the drag race between the Subaru Impreza and the Mitsubishi EVO V111.

I think Geremy is still smiling even now.

Well worth the purchase and would make an excellent present for the blokes girls if you're stuck for Christmas or birthdays.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Best of Magnum, 7 Sept. 2004
Disc 1 "Don't Eat the Snow I Hawaii, Memories Are Forever".
Disc 2 "Black On White, Mac's Back, The People V's Oville Wright"
Don't eat the snow is the pilot of the show and introduces Thomas Magnum, ex- Vietnam Vet turned Private Eye..PI..
He is hired as a Security advisor to famous author Robin Masters.
His job is to look after security of Master's beachfront Mansion where he now resides in his own quarters. He has the run of the premises and drives Master's red Ferrari.
It sounds like a perfect life but he has to share with Higgins. An ex-Sergeant Major of the British Forces in charge of the day to day responsibilities of the estate. Unlike Magnum, Higgins is strict and has stringent rules governing himself and the estate.
Higgins has a fondness for the lads, a couple of highly trained Dobermans names Apollo and Zeus. Both of which hate Magnum and constantly chase Magnum from one end of the building to the other providing a lot of laughs.
Magnum has a couple of friends help him chase down the bad guys, Rick and TC. Rick runs a variety of businesses for Masters and is the contact man for Magnums information. TC provides Air transport and flies a hellicopter and never seems to get paid for the fuel from Magnum.
Magnum is both serious and funny, has action and romance, has sorrow and joy.
The story lines are imaginitive and you care about the characters.
This is a good DVD to own, but now i want the series I feel I may have wasted my money. If you don't want the series but want instead a few episodes just to remind you of the good old days then this is the DVD for you. I hope you don't fall into the trap that I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars BigFoot, 7 Sept. 2004
Episodes 1 and 2 "The Secret of Bigfoot"
Episodes 3 "The Seven Million Dollar Man"
Steve Austin goes is search of two missing scientists in a state forest when he comes in contact with a huge beast, believed to be bigfoot. Great fight sequences follow with Austin discovering the beasts true identity, a mechanical construction from another world.
Austin comes in contact with the brains behind the beast, beings from another world hiding out in a cave that have been covertly studying humans for centuries. This is a two part adventure and one I remember from when I was a child. It has always been my favourate.
In the 3rd episode, Austin tries to console a friend that befell an accident and now inturn, has cybernetics running throughout his body. His friend cost $7.000.000. An inprovement on Austin or maybe inflation? who knows, but unlike Austin Barney Miller is struggling with his new found talents. He begins to hate himself and everone around him. He doesn't feel like a man anymore just a machine. He begins to abuse his power and uses excessive force.
I love this DVD it has 3 fantastic episodes so the value for money is assured. Trust me, if it wasn't any good I wouldn't be writing this review, I have better things to do.
Whilst you don't get any extras with FlashBack, I would like to thank them anyway for being the only ones to make the effort to bring out all of the old favourites.

3.0 out of 5 stars Earth Liberation, 20 Aug. 2004
President Santiago of Earth was assassinated by unknown forces. Now the truth is known.
The newly appointed President Clarke was responsibe and at the time was collaborating with forces behind the scene, Psi Corps and the Shadows.
Sheridan tries to share the truth resulting in Clarke tightening his grip on Earth and her Colonies by imposing martial law. Brutally, inocent citizens of Earth are slain by those loyal to Clarke.
Sheridan fights back and one by one takes back the outer colonies with a newly established force and is joined daily by deserting ships and her crews from Clarkes tirrany.
Sheridan also begins a media war trying to gain support of citizens of Earth who have been constantly bombarded with false propergander from Clarks facists campaign.
These events appropiately closely represent fascist stratergies witnessed here on Earth in our own history and bring home a few truths.
With great special effects, story lines and battles, this has to be my favourite season as Sheriden gets closer and closer to Earth and then discoveres Clarke has hidden Shadow technology up his sleeve.
This shows the affects of Civil War as Humans fight Humans, all believe they are fighting for Earth and fight as passionately as humanly possible, both sides believing they are right. There is also further tragedy when one of the Command Crew is killed in action and another is betrayed by a close friend and delivered to Clarkes forces.
This season is a must.

5.0 out of 5 stars The End of a Saga, 20 Aug. 2004
What can I say. I have enjoyed the whole series from start to finish. In season 5 we see the end of the story in which this fantastic show comes complete full circle. I am very impressed with the imagination behind the story lines.
This closing chaper shows Sheriden taking more of a political role and taking a back seat to the running of Babylon 5 with a new Captain taking over. It also shows the different paths the Command Crew take as they all begin to move on to bigger things.
And even though Earth has been liberated and the Shadow threat has gone. The dark sinister forces that remain are still afoot. The Telepaths and the Drach that remain seem to still be pulling the strings from behind the closed curtains.
And years into the future reveals the end results of the different paths of the Command Crew, who now have to come to terms with the approaching dimise of Sheriden, who is now coming to the end of his extended twenty year life span. Sheriden has to find his own way to deal with death and on the final day, knowing he is about to leave this life, he chooses to spend the day as he did as a child, when his father would take him on long drives in the country on a Sunday.
He decides to take a long drive by himself passing bye Babylon 5 as its lights are turned off for the last time and then on to a quiet place told to him by the same spirit that extended his life. This final episode reduces even the toughest person to tears as it hits close to home.
I will miss the Babylon Years and am glad I have seen what I have seen in my lifetime. Without it my life would have been diminished. Even the Non Science Fiction Fan will love this
