Price: 12.99

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent, 2 Jun 2012

Love the Sagem box but hate the original Sagem remote - it was poor when we first got it - after a few months use it became virtually unusable - the Replacement Remote seems far better constructed - buttons feel more positive - excellent product and good service from the seller.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little device, 27 Feb 2012

For the price this is excellent - as others have said the remote is not good - whoever thought that labelling some of the buttons with dark grey text on a black background ought to go back to design school - that said for basic functionality the remote is adequate - my only problem was that the remote was delivered with the button cell inserted upside down - once I got it running the picture and sound quality were excellent via either the AV connection or the HDMI lead. The file menu is a bit clunky - but using it with an SD card or USB stick you aren't going to have that many files on a 4 or 8 gig drive - if you used it with an external hard drive I guess the file menu might become more of an issue. The bottom line is that I like this device - for me it's well worth the price.

This review is from: Gigamic Quarto Mini Game (Toy)
It seems so simple - 16 pieces each with four characteristics - size - colour - shape and solid or with a hole in the middle - your aim is to complete a line of four pieces which share one of the characteristics - sounds easy - the tricky part is that your opponent chooses which piece you get to play each time. Beautifully made in real wood - a pleasure to use and touch - even the box is well made and will last for years. Highly recommended.

Mary Ann in Autumn (Tales of the City)
Mary Ann in Autumn (Tales of the City)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good to meet old friends, 28 Dec 2010

Well it was good to get together with Mary Ann, Mouse and of course the redoubtable Anna Madrigal, albeit for a meting that was all too brief. If you enjoyed hanging out with Mouse and Mary Ann in the twenties in swinging San FranciscoTales Of The City, before the advent of AIDS, 911 and George Bush (Jnr), then you'll enjoy this opportunity to meet them again in their fifties, living as we all do in a very different world. The cynical might just wonder if the Maupin retirement fund was in need of a bit of a top up, but to be honest, it's hard to be cynical when you're offered the chance to met friends like these again. I loved it.
