Today's Sunday Barbecue., 26 July 2009
Today is Sunday, a day for a family barbecue. It is raining; fortunately our house has a roof extension outside the kitchen door. Once lit, the AWT Deluxe22 barbie did the business cooking chicken legs, Lincolnshire sausages, pork steaks and beefburgers beautifully. With the lid up and when the fire got spurty, down, the cooking was perfect.
Having finished the cooking the hood was put down and all vents shut. There is some leakage of air into the barbecue so it takes some time for the fire to go out. This is its only drawback, which isn't too much of a problem.
The good thing is the sump which collects the ashes, which are easily and quickly disposed of.
The kit is soon ready to go again with the minimum of fuss for a true charcoal barbecue.
I like it!
