3.0 out of 5 stars Recommend paper version not kindle book, 26 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good read, thoroughly enjoyed. However, it is spoilt by poor conversion to kindle. Speech marks are missing, and there are tons of spelling errors that look as though they come from scanning mistakes. Stern frequently becomes stem, and burn becomes bum, for example. It has clearly not been checked. Recommend paper copy instead

3.0 out of 5 stars They're shoe laces, 8 July 2013

Would have liked stronger laces, as these seem as though they won't take much to break, but they're shoe laces for under £2. What do you expect?

5.0 out of 5 stars Good results, 8 July 2013

I have used his product with Apache F1, Cayenne, and Jalapeno pepper varieties, and have been impressed with the results. Healthy plants, with large quantities of big fruit, aided somewhat by growing on large south facing windowsill. Would recommend. I have also used as a substitute feed for Gardener's Delight tomato plant, with good results (mineral content of this vs tomato feed is pretty similar, though this is slightly lower in nitrogen).

If you have Van Halen's back catalogue, don't bother. If you haven't, then it contains a good number of their classic tracks.

More Python Programming for the Absolute Beginner

4.0 out of 5 stars What it says on the tin, 8 July 2013

Not for the absolute beginner (clue in the book title), and carries on reasonably well from the similar book "Python Programming for the Absolute Beginner". There is some repetition (chapter on lists and tuples for instance), though the aspiring programmer may well be pleased to have the topics reinforced.

The explanation of Object-Oriented-Programming, and the "class" based nature of Python is introduced very quickly, with a limited example of it (and inheritance). Greater detail, and more examples of this would make Python easier for relatives noobs like myself.

On the whole though, heartily recommended IF you have the basics of Python, OR as in addition to a book/resource aimed at complete beginners (such as the one above, of which I have an the 1st edition).

FYI - this book only covers Python 3.2, so if you've learnt Python 2.x, like I had, prepare to alter your code a bit.

App allows easy access to new issues and back issues. Decent portal to purchase magazines. Would be 5 stars if there was a purchased/unpurchased filter. Magazine looks good, well formatted for tablet.

Not most challenging or difficult puzzles, but engages the brain. Recommended as good time waster. Not got to most challenging set yet, but up to 8x8 boards not too difficult

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better, 9 Jun. 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
this game is pretty good fun overall, if a little repetitive. the extra missions added in the directors cut edition do alleviate this somewhat. also the game does take forever and a day to exit.
overall, i'd recommend that you play the game, it is good fun despite its pitfalls. hopefully assassin's creed 2 will address these issues.
