Alright, but there are a hell of a lot better British films, 19 Mar 2004
I would have liked to give this film 2 and a half stars but I can't so oh well. This didnt really feel like a horror film really at all, it seemed sort of disjointed and didn't seem to go anywhere at all. Not particularly scary and I'm not really sure what really the end was all about. Quite boring and doesn't build hardly any tension at all. If you're looking for an all out horror film that's scary I wouldn't recommend this.

Unbeatable horror film,Tobe Hooper is a genius, 14 Feb 2004
I saw this when I was younger and it genuinely scared me, now that I have grown up it still scares me, fantastically well made making up for having so little money to make it, unknown actors used, and surprisingly little gore, this is an unmissable horror film for all horror fans. Also it was based (very loosely) on a true story makes the film seem even more real. This is an absolute classic that actually IS scary. So many modern horror movies don't come close to the amount of tension in the film, it goes to show that you don't need big actors a lot of money and good special effects to make a good horror film, or any other film for that matter.

Surprisingly enjoyable film, funny sharp and also quite scary, 8 Feb 2004
Another great film that I loved from start to finish, it was supposed to be a spoof but seemed to be something better than that, very funny and very well made, god acting, it had this good feel to it that I can't explain, but it's just brilliant. Didn't quite reach the status that perhaps it deserved to but none the less it's a very good film.

Great horror/thriller Tarantino's script is brilliant, 8 Feb 2004
This film is well worth watching it if you love horror/thriller/action films with a surprisingly good cast with Tarantino,Clooney,Harvey Keitel and salma Hayek, great script from great filmaker and directed by another fantastic director ( Robert Rodriguez ) I absolutely love this film and one I can watch over and over again and never get bored, great plot twist which some people may not like, but I thought it was brilliant. Fantastically well-made film that is near perfect, great acting, script, directing and gore.

If you've read the book you WILL be dissapointed., 8 Feb 2004
This was a huge let down, the book I thought was very good, but the film failed to convey any of the creepiness and scariness the book did. The film is badly written and very badly acted, especially the little kid, he was just pathetic, this is a poor adaptation of a great book, it wasn't half as gory as I thought it was going to be and just didn't keep me ( or my brother ) hooked at all. Big Dissapointment.

I have always loved this film and think its just brilliant its fantastic, hilarious, great cast Bill Pullman, John Candy , Mel Brooks etc I love the way it takes the mick out of Satr Trek, Star Wars, Planet of the Apes etc and think its done brilliantly. Top Notch film, but not for people who think silly is not funny.

This is an unmissable surreal black comedy ...perfect, 7 Feb 2004
This is one of my favourite films ever, and with a director such as Tim Burton and a cast with, Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin and Michael Keaton ( amongst other big names ) you will rarely go wrong, fantastic film that is perfect in almost every way. I can't say much more...its brilliant. Keaton is fantastic.

harrowing and utterly brilliant., 7 Feb 2004
I loved this film, it was scary, harrowing, one extremely teeth clenching bit of gore ( no actual blood but the "hobbling" scene is closest you will get to gore without actually showing any blood. ) very small cast and the actors, director, writer must have worked so hard on this film and it really does pay off. The best Stephen King film I've seen and one of the best ever films I've seen. You will not be dissapointed, the thought of being helpless in a house with a person who is your biggest fan and forcing you to write a novel ( and if you don't, she will do things to you that will make you scream and scream... ) is terrifying in itself.

Great Brit film thouroughly enjoyable, 7 Feb 2004
This s a great film that I enjoyed from start to finish, very gory and not for the faint hearted, loved the idea that your family members could be infected and that you would have to kill them ( its been done before eg.From Dusk Till Dawn but its done very well. ) Yep, very well acted, directed and written, loved it, great film, very scary.

Pretty good film that is pretty poor at the end though, 7 Feb 2004
I was quite pleased with the way this film went, 3 hours long but didn't seem to drag on at all. Tim Curry is pretty good as Pennywise although he wasn't in it that much really. I think Tim Curry is the most scariest right at the start he seems really creepy there but when he actually attacks the children it doesnt really seem that evil. The end really lets the film down as It s actually this big kinda spider thing that wasn't scary at all. Apart from that the film delivers and was quite enjoyable.
