Kettle redundant?, 26 May 2013
This updated version of the Bosch Filtrino has really impressed me. It's quiet, the water is hot (depending on what temperature setting you choose of course) and instantaneous. It is pretty swift too. A 250 ml cup of 90 degree water takes just under a minute, and you don't have to wait for the machine to warm up, just turn on and away you go. Plus, It is simple on this model to change the pre-programmed dispensing cup size. The other real advantage I can see is that it has an automatic descaling function which makes things much less of a palaver.
I've almost forgotten to mention that it is much more economical than a kettle, and I know it shouldn't matter too much, but it does look great, knocking the socks off equivalent models in the same category.
I think the fact that I have now emptied the kettle and packed it away in a cupboard speaks volumes...
