5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwork is a god's work!, 14 Nov 2011
This review is from: Heartwork (Audio CD)
What can I say of Carcass, a band that changed their style in every album and yet remains one of the most important and adored groups in the history of metal?
Well, there's a lot to say, but all my words will be directed to Heartwork now.
Although Gothenburg scene is claimed to have invented Melodic Death Metal, every Carcass fan knows that Heartwork is the genre's true origin.
Heavy and brutal song structures, beautiful twin-guitar melodies (which sound close to Thin Lizzy's), fast riffs, harsh vocals, melodic guitar solos and powerful blast-beats. All of this perfectly defines Melodic Death Metal, as made in a flawless way by Carcass in Heartwork.
Surely one of the greatest albums of all time, not only of Metal. You can't die without hearing this album first! A must-have!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of UK's top Hard/Heavy albums!, 14 Nov 2011
This review is from: Wheels Of Steel (Audio CD)
One of the fathers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Saxon has always been one of the top names when it comes to bands "without one best album". There's a Saxon album for each kind of metal fan. If you enjoy some hard/heavy similar to Scorpions, try mixing Scorpions' "Pictured Life" and Iron Maiden's "Aces High" or "The Wicker Man". The result is Wheels of Steel, one of the masterpieces of traditional Heavy Metal, in the old British style. Excellent album!

5.0 out of 5 stars Allmans at their best., 25 Oct 2011
This review is from: Eat A Peach (Audio CD)
The last album that the band made with their main slide guitar player, Duane Allman, the Skydog, was their best. The perfect goodbye for a guitar player like Duane, who records his last song "Little Martha", one of the most beautiful melodies ever produced in all rock music. Blues, Country, Rock, some Jazz (in "Les Brers in A Minor"), you'll find it all in this album. The band plays some old blues songs, but that doesn't mean they are bad. In fact, most of those versions are better than the original ones. If you like good classic rock, listen to this album, a true masterpiece from the south of USA. Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Death classic!, 25 Oct 2011
This review is from: Human (Audio CD)
Death is a band that built a considerable reputation among metal fans. They are credited for creating both Death Metal and Technical Death metal, the first one being the most loved genre in underground metal. Their best work is Human, an album which marks a considerable stylish change for the band, incorporating progressive metal elements to their music, making the sound ever better than it was! With a super-group recruited for recording the album, Chuck Schuldiner, the "Father of Death Metal", really made history with 'Human'. A real "must-have" album!
