5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant value for money, 15 July 2016

Brilliant value for money. Other reviewers have gone into tech detail and personal experience. These influenced my purchase and I reviewed many makes and models. You're not going to get these in your pocket but if you need something hefty these are the bins. Did buy a new, wider strap which you'll need if carrying the glasses for any distance. The strap supplied is too narrow. Delighted with these binoculars.

Yip... 'The Worst Journey in The World' pretty much sums up the book too. Gawd its a labour of love... one to buy if you're retired and think you might have ten years to devote to reading it and every little turgid detail of a very, very, very long walk. I'd rather keep company with Shackleton anyhow.

Volunteers lined up, names recorded.. just waiting on the emergency to happen and it'll be fully field tested. Up to this point I'm delighted and have more piece of mind that I did before. Not sure what the dogs think of it.. I'm sure they'd be delighted if the understood the consequnces of not carrying a card.

Great... bought as a wedding present and everyone was delighted. So there we are. Who can say anything new about a blanket that's been around for a couple of hundred years... certainly not me.

3.0 out of 5 stars Game of Whose Left Standing, 7 April 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The writers seemed to be really struggling with this series which is hardly surprising given the murder and mayhem of previous series. With so few charismatic characters with sufficient gravitas to hold the programmes together, the plot seemed to plod on and on. Should have stuck to the original story line and left it on a high. I've recommended to friends they not waste their money on this release and save themselves the disappointment that comes with 'sticking with it'. Jon Snow was lucky in this series.. he got pumped off. Hope the producers have the decency to leave him bumped off and not resurrect him as a 'Walker' to squeeze another couple of dollars out of fans enthusiasm for what was a great adventure... up to now. Think of spending your money on something else... like a huge box of caramels and chewing them and don't stop till they are all done. The face-ache you'll experience will be vaguely similar to watching this.

Took the advice of other commentators and bought a size larger than usual and though a bit roomy are excellent. Comfortable in the extreem they are great house shoes and warm... very warm. Not sure how long they will last but at the price they're sold for, who cares. Recommend you buy a size larger than needed and buy two pairs... by the time you go to replace the first ones they might be unavailable. You will regret not having owned a pair of these slippers if you pass up the chance to buy them.

I'm a Scot and have that Scottish tendency to reserve judgement on funny stories, barely creasing my face at the funniest of comedians, but this book had me doubled up with side-splitting laughter time and again. It was a privelidge to accompany justin and Linda on their adventure and to be introduced, through the lens of this book (and its sequel) to the many characters they met and made friends with. My only regret is there wasn't a third volume; I'd have loved to have stayed in their company for a whiley longer.
