4.0 out of 5 stars best comady, 20 July 2003
This review is from: Blazing Saddles [1974] [DVD] (DVD)
Dealing with racism, but in now other way any other film would dare, through humour. IT is such a funny film, from the start to the end your laughing all the way through. The film also so how much courage a man mush have to tolerate racial abuse, and over come it. It also show community spirit and how stereotypes can be over come. The singing and dancing alone should have Oscar's. miles better than tv comady such as friends or sex in the city. If you enjoy the Monty Panton films, you will really like this one

5.0 out of 5 stars What can i say, 20 July 2003
This review is from: The Green Mile [DVD] [1999] (DVD)
Another film that plays with your emotions, Tom Hanks plays a fantastic part as a chief officer in 'the green mile'. There are few people in the world that good. And when John coffee tries to do something so heroic, e is misunderstood. Because of sociality, he ends up on death row, maybe because he is black, and maybe because he is doesn't seem to be academically clever. John coffee helps so many people while facing death himself. The film highlights all that good in a person, despite them being in a bad situation. It is truly a diamond film to come out of Hollywood, just like a diamond it is rare, special, amazing, and something of value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brit is best, 20 July 2003
This review is from: 28 Days Later (2002) [DVD] (DVD)
The film is so captivating, because worryingly it could really happen. A virus has hit Britain turning citizens into evil monster, wanting to live off no infected humans. The film highlights just how easy a virus can spread, and how much we relied on modern day industries, image not having power, no fresh food, no gas, and no communication. It is very hard to do so. The film shows the determination for survival, and how easily people can be fooled, and desperate people become. That fact that narrative is so tangible that it is possible to happen to Britain, mean you want to know what happens next. Some parts are little extreme, such as the taxi in a tunnel under the river Thames. Above it offer entertainment, and its British

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best films, infact the best film I have EVER seen, 6 Mar. 2003
The Acting is faultless, the storyline is so well directed, you become captivated by this truly brilliant masterpiece. A good Hollywood film, with a tangible narrative, impressive acting, and finds its origins in a Stephen king novel is challenging to come across, however The Shawshank redemption indisputably wins the challenge. Once the film has began, you become totally involved emotionally and mentally to this work of genius. At times the film is so extraordinary shocking it takes your breathe away. The film deals with disdainful, corrupt, cruel prison offices and closeness and love of friendship. Although its over 2 hours long, you just cant move away from the Television screen, as if you have been super glued to youe seat regardless of what is going on around you. Shawshank is so well written, that only towards the end of the film do you fully understand it...
I am not going to give a review of the film in fear of spoiling it for you... just buy it
