A lovely story of a cake baker in an expat compound, gives another view of the expat life from a "local perspective". An amusing feel-good story!

5.0 out of 5 stars eye-opening and frustrating, 16 Oct. 2011
This is one of the books that makes you think why you torture yourself by reading it. But you cannot stop reading it. It makes you question your own actions and think what can you do to change the world and make it a little bit better. It's a touching and shocking story that everyone should read.

5.0 out of 5 stars fascinating, motivating, amusin, annoying, 16 Oct. 2011
This is an amazing book about the Israeli-Palestinian situation. Everyone should read this to better understand the conditions. With his amazing British humour, Mark makes the book more human and it helps to understand the absurdity of the wall. This book is really shocking as well and it will make you angry but you cannot put it down as it takes you to the ramble right from the beginning.. and you cannot stop.
