3.0 out of 5 stars repetitive! & Buggy, 7 Dec 2014
This review is from: Far Cry 4 (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
The last game prior to this i bought from these folks was watchdogs that i enjoyed very much but it's release was marred by issues most notably Choppy stuttering game-play , Which led me onto support forums to try & resolve instead of enjoying my new game. It was cured eventually.

Fay cry 4 However to my disappointment was identical, Once again i had to go to support forums and i found that i had to modify a file in the games settings just to be able to play it. Which worked fine then soon after the game would not work at all, I Started the game & it just put up a black screen. After returning to support forums i discovered it was because i had a USB joystick plugged in.

It was eventually patched and the game has proven more reliable since.

Game play soon gives over to Bordom the quests are repetitive & more or less it really is like a map pack upgrade to far cry 3 with a different story tacked on.

I did attempt to conclude the game but half the island is off limits until you complete more quests and i had just got to a point where i felt i have done these missions over & over again & i just felt like my time was been wasted.

This is not a moan more a bit of information if your considering buying one, Although it is a 2GB Key, when it is set up & running the space you have is actually 1.38 GB out of 1.48GB. due to the pre loaded software.

It is a bit of a hit in terms of storage but it is still a really worthwhile product for the safe storage of your passwords.

1.0 out of 5 stars And i thought MOH Was Bad., 18 Nov 2012
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Before i begin i did a little homework via Wiki...

The Xbox 360 was released in 2005
The Playstation 3 was released in 2006

The hardware therefore is older than the device so it's fair to say that the developers of this game have to make it so it can work on the hardware of 6+ year old Console. And the graphics of the game reflect that and imho a device that is that old in computer terms is very obsolete.

I am a dedicated gamer & i bought a new PC last year for the sole purpose of playing games and because i paid nearly £40 for this game i expected that it would be stunning on my PC but even on maxed out settings graphically wise it looks like i am playing a game made for a 6 year old console.

As some commentors have since pointed out that the game does have private dedicated servers, I initially thought this was not the case due to the lack of a server browser and the macthmaking system in game, I would hope those same commentators can inform me though however as it does have dedicated server support then why is the lag so bad? as it is the game is beyond ridiculous with players jumping & warping around the screen constantly. Due to the connection hit detection is a total shambles.

These poor console ports are really a step backwards for PC gaming & i feel that if a company is going to make something that looks as bad as this then why release it for the PC at all. And i do feel that if you are going to make a game for a PC at least put some effort into it & bear in mind that what most of these obsolete game consoles cost, a lot of PC Gamers pay more than that just for our graphics cards.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, 19 Aug 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's rare that i regret buying something and with this mouse i actually do, After using the 2010 version for a while now it had performed flawlessly & still does, I thought i would treat myself to the new 2012 model & to be honest it has been a disappointment from the start.

First the mouse had an annoying squeak on the left button that was so bad i returned it to Amazon for replacement, The new one that arrived was only slightly better and although the squeaking was gone the button feels like something inside is is catching and it really feels like a manufacturing issue.

I havent returned the second mouse because i feel that this is probably as good as it get's and really for a mouse with a premium price tag it's really not worth it.

Other issues are battery life, It's poor at best, And it stops tracking properly from time to time even when it's plugged in via it's cable.

It's sadly nothing special & the build quality does not reflect the price paid.

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointed, 25 July 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The First reviewer summed up my thoughts, The only thing i would add is that within a couple of minutes of opening the stand i was so impressed with the overall quality of the stand that i ordered another one.

Yes it's pricey but should last for a very long time.

Edit....
Well my initial jubilation has wained, within two days of very light use, the hinge has started to fail. I can still watch films on my iPad but it is to loose to to anything else.

As a result I will be returning it for a refund.

2.0 out of 5 stars 2nd time unlucky, 10 May 2011

I don't know if I am asking to much, I had one of these and the glass seems pitted with air pockets that allow white light though the coloured glass. This kind of distracts you from what's going on inside.

I had the unit exchanged and its the same if not worse.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why did i buy another one?, 17 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
We bought one of these for my dad for christmas, And it just as well there durable because they have awful flight characteristics. They are strong i will give you that but for the most part they spin uncontrollably and dangerously.

After a few weeks and a lot of new rotor-blades it couldn't get more than a foot of the ground. for a few seconds at a time, I am not really moaning as such as i am a beliver in the phrase you get what you pay for so it's no big deal.

Sadly i asked my dad if he wanted a new heli, And to my surprise he wanted the same one again. So i ordered one from amazon seller Internetshopuk who delivered it in just a couple of days so a++ to them, But this is another heli that wont fly, The controller was faulty so we used the other one we had, And it was the same again. Take of and spin uncontrollably, So we decided to call it a day and contacted the seller to return it and once again they where awesome but the product is really bad.

I would not recommend this product to anybody who wants a helicopter for learning or a little fun. I have flown quite a few Helicopters and his without doubt is the worst i have seen.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bugs,Aimbots,WallHacks etc etc, 30 Mar 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Crysis 2 (PC DVD) (Video Game)
Don't get me wrong i love this game, Even on my ageing PC it runs smooth on both single player and multiplayer. Yes their are a few bugs to be ironed out as you would expect. My main reason for purchasing a game of this type is the multiplay aspect hence where a small but annoying issue lies, The game is rife with cheats. Initially i defended the game on online forums saying the cheaters where small in number and very rare but now only a few days after release they are everywhere, Like MW2 the cheats have moved in and nearly every server you play on an aimboter(Inc wallhack,Infinite ammo unlimited energy) turns up, It's easy to tell as they usually have a score of about 30-0 and on KillCam you can see their gun snapping to the heads of players. As of time of writing there does not appear to be any mechanism to fight them

My other annoyance is cracked copies of the game, I paid for mine bought from right here in fact but you do get people in game bragging that they are playing on a cracked copy they downloaded that works on ranked official servers.

So i really hope that the devs can iron out these issues, it's a good fun game thats been ruined by a minority.

While it was nice to see this film again i thought for the price & that it was on blueray it would have been re-mastered. Sadly it looked like a direct VHS tape to blueray transfer, i can only imagine that the bluray was a selling point & given the quality of the film it could have been released on dvd for under a fiver.

Pitty a opertunity missed to show an awsome film and introduce it to a new younger audience.
