3.0 out of 5 stars Nice little carry case, 15 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not a scale wardrobe, but a smart little vinyl backed carry case. The clothes rail is rather crudely held on with holes in little vinyl flaps from the top, and there are also 15 white clothes hangers which just about fill the wardrobe when clothes added. Could have done something with the rather deep doors or added a mirror.

Mountain Engines (Railway)
Mountain Engines (Railway)
by Rev. Wilbert Vere Awdry
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Awdry, 29 April 2013
From 1964 this was the second book to be illustrated by Peter Edwards with scenes drawn from life around Mt Snowdon in Wales. Another story of pride, punishment and redemption, and No 6 riding Devil's Back in a gale, is the exciting climax.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ingenuity, 2 Mar. 2013
It's useful for people with normal hands as well, for the 1 jar in 20 which keeps its lid on way too tight, particularly new ones. The teeth sink into the side of the jar lid and this in itself often breaks a vacuum seal. The sized rings cleverly handle all sizes of jar you can throw at it, and there is a bottle opener thrown in. Great example of human ingenuity, something that Leonardo could have invented.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting in parts, 18 May 2006
sike-tinged pop rather than commercial psychedelia. The better songs have them sounding like more luminous contemporaries - Barratt-era Floyd, Small Faces, Kinks and whispers of the West Coast. Not the attack, or dare say menace from any Stones song of the era. The Symbols borrow Ringo's langourous drumming and pick a up a lick left on the floor from the Rubber Soul sessions (Again). The Exception pull off an asounding feat of appropriating the Doors' sound in a great pastiche, even to singing about Fy-re! (Woman of the Green Lantern). I liked Price Rick and Sheridan's Lighting Never Strikes, a fair West Coast rocker. So that's at least 3 or 4 new tracks for the playlist - just about worth the entry price, for lots of it is just drivel.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Railway Series book, 3 Jan. 2004
Sorry, what's Phillipa Reece on about? Her comments are confounded with some modern TV-inspired title. This is the Original, No. 1 of the Railway Series by the Rev W Awdry. We are introduced to Edward, Gordon and Henry in that order, but NOT Thomas! He had to wait until book no. 2!
