Due to it's shape, some will like it just as some will dislike using it. The trick is learning how to hold whilst peeling - potatoes for example. Once mastered, you'll never want to change from it.

I buy these from time to time although they do tend to shrink down a bit after a few washes whereupon they go in the charitable bag.

Well, they are cheap.

I was a bit surprised at how good and convenient this item is. The magnifying lens is so strong that it's much better being static on it's stand and bring objects towards it than waving it about over an object which will most likely cause blurring.

I use it for small print which is now a doddle - especially Supermarket items which are often very difficult to read.

Highly recommended.

This is the sort of item you need for your desktop PC.
It supports my 24" Monitor with twin separate speakers on each side which now not only gives me great stereo but also raises the whole lot about 3" and gives me lots of room underneath for the keyboard plus lots more essentials - or rubbish, as some might say.

This is now my top knife. It's pretty well balanced in the hand and both cuts and chops through larger Potatoes and Onions with minimal effort. Anything else is a pure doddle.

My warning though is be very careful and clean very carefully and totally separate from every thing else - otherwise a cut hand will remind.

Brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Are you a bit hard of hearing., 5 Oct. 2010
This is written for those of us well into a later age when good basics are far more important than bells; whistles and "must haves" just for the sake of it.

Excuse me for being pedantic but surely the main reason we buy a mobile is firstly for voice communications, yes? When someone contacts, you press the answer key and stick it in your ear or use the couple of thingies - laughingly described as headphones to either communicate or listen to music, yes?

What about the inbuilt speaker? Pretty useless generally with poor volume to such an extent that nobody bothers to mention it on forums or professional reviews. Until recently, I used a Sony upper end mobile but latterly was finding it a pain as the speaker was obviously poor and seemingly inferior to some - but not all; of my friends mobiles.

I posted on a few forums as to sound volume and quality but incredibly hardly anybody either notices or uses their speaker and a few kind souls pointed to the RNID and a few more sites selling basic mobiles with claimed good volume - for a price of course.
Anyway, the upshot is a friend who popped by a short while back and I asked him to demonstrate his Blackberry. I was so impressed I went and purchased this model and now when someone calls I can put it on my desk or lap if out and about and have a good hands-free chat.

Other things I like:

CAMERA - Extremely good and sharp and far superior to my now disposed of Sony although both had the same pixel rate.

KEYBOARD - qwerty type which gets easier to use due to it's unique curvature and far better than the alphabet type.

ROLLER-BALL JOGGLE SWITCH - infuriating at first. Then somehow you get better.

BELLS AND WHISTLES - lots of 'em, as you'd expect and desire if under 40 - so your forgiven but if over 40, you'll appreciate the better-than-average basics and because it's a Blackberry; nobody is going to refer to you as either a "doddery deaf old fool" or "your past it,"

Know wot I mean 'Arry

Princess (1908) Egg Cooker

5.0 out of 5 stars Cannot praise too highly., 4 Oct. 2010

I purchased this product some months ago for a specific job and have been repaid in spades.

Waitrose on line shopping supplied beautiful hard boiled eggs - at a price, which made it worthwhile as the alternative of doing it yourself was both time consuming and you always seemed to end up with a couple of cracked eggs anyway with white seepage.

I really enjoy a couple of hard boiled eggs from the fridge most mornings which together with Tomato juice and good strong mug of tea, sets me up for the day.

The cost of the eggs gradually went up until I decided their must be another and less expensive way. There was and with a certain amount of scepticism I purchased this and within a day of arrival put it to work. First results were better than expected and after fine tuning over a period, can report that I now effortlessly make beautiful hard boiled eggs.

For me, this product has now both repaid it's cost and also removed the drudgery of cooking and shelling by making it so easy.

Wasn't exactly sure if I actually needed this but ordered it anyway. Glad I did as I don't need to use the mains charger any more and put it in my away-day bag.

Simply plug into a USB hub; place phone and it charges quite happily.

Please note that it's only function is charging. For data, you unplug the lead from the charger and insert into phone.

In case you think the hole shapes on this are funny; I can tell you not so. Some cheap items especially from China, come with an electric charger which has two close set pins which requires an unconventional type of adapter and this is it - as i've found out.

At least you'll need one for your tool-kit, I did.
