I'm Too Sexy - Remix

From start to finish this album is packed full of infectious hooks, beats and acoustic guitars (even some kazoos). Add to that witty lyrics (I'm A Celebrity pokes great fun at celeb culture & then there's Infected...) & Richard's rich voice and you have a great, upbeat pop album.
Highlights include a fantastic remix of I'm Too Sexy which brings it right up to date with a great fresh sound (I'll certainly be playing that one to get the dancefloor going), This Love a huge swirling anthem, I'm A Bachelor with it's reggae vibe, the great sing-a-long Infected & the single I'm A Celebrity.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beats the usual romantic-comedy, 4 Oct. 2007
An easy going light-hearted romantic/slapstick comedy about a young couple plagued by their elderly tenant. I found it much more entertaining than the usual mushy couple films out there. Yes it's a bit over-the-top with storyline, but I found it to be a rather enjoyable romp.
To be honest I'd read so many varied reviews about this film, I wasn't sure what to expect- people seem to love it or hate it, but I'm glad that I did give it a go and for the price you can't really loose out.
Drew Barrymore & Ben Stiller are what you would expect, but their troublesome tenant, Eileen Essell really shines out in this- managing to pull off sweet and evil at the same time.

2.0 out of 5 stars Hang on a minute, 22 July 2007
This review is from: Tyson the Terrible (Paperback)
This sounds alot like a book from my childhood called Tyrone the Horrible by Hans Wilhelm... (which was one of my favourites).
Not exactly the same story, but hardly original- could have changed the character names a bit more. Seems a bit of a rip off really.

4.0 out of 5 stars different view points, 25 April 2006
Fact and fiction from more than 30 excerts from books and articles spanning around 150 years of San Francisco history, this book shows people's affection for this colourful city.

There's writings covering everything from LSD acid-parties to how AIDS was handled when it emerged to writer's attitudes to the place.

Lovingly presented with some beautiful photos, this book captures the spirit of the place as well as that of the past.

4.0 out of 5 stars compact useful book, 25 April 2006
The best feature of this book is the pop-up map, which covers the main tourist part of the city and also has a map of golden Gate Park itself. You can also buy this map separately.

The actual travel book section here is very basic, but it does cover all the major attractions and has some info on places to eat and that sort of thing, but if your planning a big holiday there you might want to do a bit of research from other travel guides.

There's also a little compass, a pen and some note paper, which is always useful on holidays, and it's the perfect travel-size.

Finally it's been released here after how many years of waiting for fans!
Like the review below says, this is an amazing tv prog.
If you like the books, don't hesitate about getting these, the actors fit the roles 100 percent and it's true to the book for the most part, any changes in the story are minimal and fit really well. Watch out for the extra bits with Mother Mucca, they're great.
Thank goodness for Armistead Maupin!

3.0 out of 5 stars Toutch and go, 5 Mar. 2006
This review is from: Shock Treatment [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Unlike the other reviews here I wouldn't go as far as saying this is either the worst film ever, or the most underrated.
Simply this is a fun, pop, 80s musical with a cautionary tale that is fairly apt with today's crazy reality tv lifestyle.
Confuzingly Brad and Janet are the same characters as in Rocky Horror played by different actors, whilst the actors from Rocky Horror play completely unrelated characters, what!?
Essentially Brad and Janet get caught up in a crazy reality-tv station that locks everyone up, including the audience who actually love it, with only afew people seeing that something strange is going on.
The music is ok, pretty catchy, but not a patch on Rocky Horror songs, however this is more pop than rock n roll. The storyline, well I still haven't made my mind up after all these years of watching it, I just think you have to be in the right kind of mood.
Worth seeing if you like cult stuff, the bizarre or contemporary musicals.

3.0 out of 5 stars funk and soul, 3 Feb. 2006

Gees I wouldn't go as far as the review below. Sure this album is a mixed bag of pop with some upbeat stuff mixed with loevly souful ballads. It has some great musical twists, good singing, decent lyrics and all the songs are different from each other, unlike alot of pop albums that just blend in with each other.
So what that Happy Just To Be With You is on it even though it was released as a single ages before the album, it's a great song that wasn't on any other album of hers so I don't see what's bad about that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Modern didge sounds, 15 Jan. 2006
This review is from: Cafe Australia (Audio CD)
This is one of the best austrlain music compilations I've come across, however there are only three different artists on it and most of these come from David Corter.
There's a mix of relaxing didge sounds as well as some heavily rhythmic stuff and weird sounding singing. The didges are mixed in with contemporary music from acoustic guitars as well as other traditional instruments giving the cd a thoroughly modern feel.
If you've only been able to find Austrlian music cds with tracks that all sound the same, and that has left you cold, don't hesitate about buying this- all the tracks stand out and even get stuck in your head.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheesey, 10 Jan. 2006
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For those of you who never saw this, it was one of those shows that ITV put on in the middle of the night.
A super-cheesey action programme (think A-Team, but not as good) about a renegade cop who's a bounty hunter, but is one the run himself and his two cohorts, oh and he has a big bike. Need I say more.
Great if you want to switch your brain off for a bit.
