1.0 out of 5 stars Truely awful!., 13 Jan 2009
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game with great expectations.
The graphics are beautiful, but they disguise the fact that the silver knight at the end of the first level is undefeatable.
It becomes very linear & tedious.
Its a pity, because the potential of this genre of game is boundless.

I would avoid this game!.

4.0 out of 5 stars a hidden gem, 24 Mar 2008
Well, when first broadcast I only watched a couple of episodes of this award winning show.
Thanks to network it can all be enjoyed once more,in good quality of sound & vision.
Basically it's a chat show that doesn't conform to the conventions of programmes in this genre, which makes it all the more appealing!.
Mrs Merton, played by Caroline Aherene, employs an unorthedox interviewing style that amuses & sometimes embarrasses her unsuspecting guests. She uniquely combines comedy & audacity when delivering her questions.
You'll be laughing out loud at this,I guarentee!.
If you don't find this funny,I doubt you'll find anything funny!!.
I'm glad I bought it!!.

4.0 out of 5 stars a fitting end, 16 Nov 2006
Prime suspect has always constituted complelling viewing.

This latest creation is no exception.

It's all here,the drama,suspense,intrigue and more!.

DCI Tennison's "exit" is dignified yet unexpected.

An essential addition to your DVD collection!.

3.0 out of 5 stars on the buses series 4, 9 Oct 2006
I concour with the previous reviewer.

A majority of the episodes are former cinema club ex VHS releases and are therefore devoid of the correct idents and break pauses.

The comedy is present but the authenticity isn't.

Not a disc for the purists.

The "Home to roost" discs are superb and complete in every aspect!.

4.0 out of 5 stars ideal to watch, 27 Jun 2006
This review is from: Ideal - Series 1 [DVD] (DVD)
A dark and surreal comedy that gradually becomes pretty compelling.

Some of the characters are a little bazzar but you soon warm to them.

If you appreciate new comedy then ideal is worthy of investigation.

I first saw this series on channel four when I was ten.
Being from the city of Liverpool,I was instantly absorbed and could relate to the events in the characters' lives.
Basically it portays two deprived and discontented young men in their last year of school, about to be immersed into the big hostile arena of a city without work and one that's succummed to despair and industrial decline.
In an attempt to discover adventure and contentment they descend upon an unsuspecting welsh village and instantly become notorious, mostly for all the wrong reasons!.
They encounter hostility and warmth in equal proportions.
The usual mis-conceptions about Liverpudlians are prominent with comments such as "I'd better nail everything down that's moveable" and the suscpicious expression on the face as they say "you're from Liverpool, aren't you?".Compelling viewing,I only wish it was released alot sooner.
As I said earlier, the last time I saw it was back in 1983 when I was ten,but I remembered it to this day.
A very convincing performance by all the actors, particularly David Morrissey and Spencer Leigh, whom exhibited a maturity well beyond their years.
A well written series,truly distinctive,thoroughly absorbing,buy it,you won't regret it.
