If you're one of those people who's fascinated by words and British history, you'll love this book.
Placenames come up all the time - on the road, on telly, in books + magazines - and I've always wondered how on earth they ended up being what they are - from the relatively ordinary to the downright bizarre.
Well, this book has all the answers and I find myself consulting it all the time - excellent value for money!! Only thing that would be helpful, that's missing, is pronunciation. But you can't have everything.
