4.0 out of 5 stars this could be the one that actually works..., 4 Mar. 2012
This review is from: Sink Reflections (Paperback)
This book has convinced me to take a different approach to those I have tried (unsuccessfully) in the past to become more organised and to have a comfortable home. The central theme revolves around routines which become part of daily and weekly life. It takes time for these to become established but I'm one month in at this stage and, while things are far from perfect, I now find that Saturdays are free days for me to enjoy and not days spent catching up on piles of washing-up and laundry. The idea is to have things 'good enough', and not to feel guilty. There are some aspects of the book that were a bit cringe-inducing ( I do not and will not wear lace-up shoes) but overall it outlines an approach that is working for me so far. Unlike other books/ approaches I have tried it does not advocate a 'quick fix', or 'control-freak' approach. I would recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality and very pretty, 13 Nov. 2011
Unlike so many similar costumes, this one is well made and 'feels nice' (satin-feel, not 'scratchy' or 'tacky' looking). The colours are very pretty and it was a very popular present. I got this for a five-year-old (who is not big) and the 6-8 size was perfect (if a little long, but that was easy to adjust). Another reason to 'size-up' is that this dress is quite expensive so you would want to get quite a few dressing up opportunities out of it.

1.0 out of 5 stars waste of money!, 6 Nov. 2010
My impression is that someone got the bright idea to make a few extra bob by getting so-called 'celebrity chefs' to contribute their cast-off recipes that wouldnt make it into their own books. It is an annoying mix of recipes that dont go together, many recipes have ingredients that are difficult to get and the producers list is probably of interest only if you live in London. If you like cooking, there are plenty of good recipe books out there, if you like looking at stylised pictures of food there are plenty of coffee-table books out there, if you like looking at grinning celebrities, buy Hello magazine.
