5.0 out of 5 stars Very well priced and every aspect excellent; what are you waiting for?, 25 Sept. 2006
Very good, but you are better off buying the IXUS 65.

Like all digital cameras, this works with fluency and performs excellently. But, it is not the best digital camera out. This is the cheapest GOOD digital camera, so this is a must buy for anyone looking for digital camera that isn't to big, to expensive, or to hard to use. The 60 is very easy to use, you don't need a manual or anything, another helpful thing from Canon.........

This camera is not to expensive, and good. It has automatic flash, focus and red eye reduction. The shots the camera takes are in very good detail; 173,000 pixels, and you can enlarge them on the computer and they will still look good. Also, when an object is moving and you take a shot, the camera will still remain in focus. There is 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, which are very helpful when getting the right photo for you. When displaying the photos on the camera screen automatic LCD switches on, easy to see. Also, what make the pictures easy to see, is that the screen is ever so slightly curved, so it allows many people to see it from all around without it going out of focus.

The memory on this camera is 16MB, I have not taken the memory to the limits, but I know for sure that it will keep in over 300 photos. This digital camera is small, lightweight the material has been polished, and it looks good and feels smooth to hold. I think that it is a very good camera to show off with. If you are looking for a quite-cheap digital camera that is easy to use and not to bulky then this is for you.

I think that this camera is easily the best, not to expensive camera around. You should definitely but this (unless you ARE looking for a big, hard to use, bulky, very expensive camera).

5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than the other Xbox 360 option!, 25 Sept. 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Much mire cheaper than Xbox 360 console with all of its extras...

I reckon that this is by far the best console out today, even exceeding the PS3. This is real good value; £200 pound for a very new games console, with a few extra bits, and the fact that this performs the best out of all game players. I do recommend buying this rather than the Amazon one that has all of the special equipment, but you make your decision.

As I said, the Xbox 360 does have the best graphics of all games consoles. If you look at any games cut scenes, the characters look very much like a living human. Also, to prove the graphics, the 360 can cram in ever so many happenings, like in Dead Rising. The sound is absolutely excellent, proven when it plays CD's, it sounds as good as an Ipod, and when the games sound never goes off or weird. Some problems about the Xbox 360 are that you need a separate DVD player link and a separate online link, another way to spill out you money. Once you do have the DVD link the sound and picture are fantastic. The online play for the Xbox 360 games are the best of all consoles, depending on the game. If it is a good game, online you can play with fluency and clarity.

The 360 has 20GB memory; a vast amount. With this, you could hold memory for about 50 games, so you don't need to worry about memory. Also, speaking about memory, this is superior to a PS2 because you don't need a memory card. The Xbox tends to not take much time loading levels or aspects of games, thanks to its memory. The Xbox 360 is slightly smaller than the bulky original Xbox, which helps when finding somewhere to replace it. Another disc that this console can load is normal Xbox games, which does mean you don't have to spend a tonne of money on new games, which are very expensive for the 360.

The equipment in this package includes: The 360, wired controller and composite TV connection & SCART adaptor. These are the things that you really need to give your Xbox 360 a good start. If you do need/want other parts, buy them separately, but don't buy the other Xbox 360 package because it is far more expensive than this. This is easily worth your money and you won't regret buying this - absolutely outstanding performance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best console out there, but also the most expensive console., 25 Sept. 2006

This IS the best games console out at the moment. It has the best graphics, the best sound, the best live play, and the best games to play with. But one major problem, the price. It is really expensive; you should really wait a month or two before you buy this.

As I said, the Xbox 360 does have the best graphics of all games consoles. If you look at any games cut scenes, the characters look very much like a living human. The equipment in this pack includes: 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, Ethernet cable, HD AV cable and headset. But you don't really need to have all of these; you would be better off getting the Xbox 360 core system [...] This is an extremely good console, with it boasting about all that it does, but it is really pricey; you will have to dig deep into your pockets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best film in the last 10 years., 25 Sept. 2006
People can be really disappointed when books are transferred into films, but that is not the case here. This film is amazing; it deserves more than 14 Academic Awards (for the trilogy).
The acting is great, the graphics and landscapes are great, the plot and script are great, and the films in themselves are pretty much impossible to hate. I think that this was a brilliant film even compared to the books; it did not spoil the reputation of the books, but boosted the selling's of the written trilogy.

The case comes in a very attractive box; it looks good and feels good, it looks very good on any video shelf. The box is big and bulky though; it would haft to be to fit ALL 12 DVD's in. There are the 2 discs for every films basic stuff such as the extended movies themselves, audio commentary's and stupendous DTS 6.1 ES sound. The next two discs on each separate movie have absolutely masses of extras on them - deleted scenes, image gallery, trailers and the developing of special effects, behind the scenes, and script creation, are some of the around 200 extras. There is 9 hours of film, and plus the extended editions the three films add up to almost 11 hours. Plus there is around another 48 hours of extras. You will never, ever, watch every feature on every disc.

The films:
1 - ***** The Fellowship of the Ring. Starts off with Cate Blanchett / the white elfish queen narrating the history of the ring. How the elves and men defeated Mordor, but the ring had lived thanks to the greed of men. And then how Golem picked it up, and then Bilbo. The film then cuts to the present. People under the age of ten might like the 2nd two films better because of the wars, and they may think that is boring because there is a load of talking. But this is my favourite. Bilbo's birthday celebration will make you smile [...] There are some amazing special effects, most notably the troll and the belrock. The film is excellent, creating suspense when the ring wraiths are chasing them or the feel of darkness when they are in the woods of the elves. Masterpiece.
2 - The Two Towers. **** To be honest my least favourite the films. The best bit in this film which was my personal favourite was the Ents. The battle of Helms Deep was good, but not as good as the other films Moria and Minas Tirith. The path of Frodo was in my opinion quite dull, and so was Gandalf's. Doesn't stop it from being a damn good film though.
3 - The Return Of The King. ***** Looks wonderful. The landscapes and graphics are the best I have seen in a film, especially the battle scenes - simply stunning. Frodo and Sam's path has become far more exciting and so has Gandalfs. This film is not at all dull, even though it does stretch over 3 hours. Outstanding acting - the actors have improved in this film, I'm not saying they were ever anywhere near bad. The ending does stretch on a little, but it is true to the book.

The extended scenes are good for the first two films, but not for the 3rd. Buy these films. They are amazing and the extra discs will keep you occupied for a very long time. Everything from the music to the acting is excellent. The most noticeable actors are Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett, Ian Mckellen, Orlando Bloom, Liv Tyler, Sean Bean, Viggo Mortesen, Sean Astin, Christopher Lee and Hugo Weaving. An excellent cast.

5.0 out of 5 stars How much of an improvement is it?, 25 Sept. 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: FIFA 07 (PS2) (Video Game)
Easily the best football game out now.

This is the best sports game out on PS2. Everything is good; the game play, the controls, the graphics and the sound are all excellent. But the one small problem is that this film is not a vast improvement to Fifa 06, I mane, all the controls are the same, and so is pretty much all of the game play, but these factors don't change the fact that this a very good game, and it will keep you occupied until Fifa 08 comes out...

The graphics are excellent; you can see the absolute excellent detail, the stadiums look outstanding, the players faces have been greatly updated, and the crowd no longer look like cardboard. What is a good aspect is that the crowd yell names out and react to things, such as fouls, goals and misses. The league options have expanded to 27 leagues, including F.A Premier League, French League 1 and 2, German Bundesliga, Scottish Premier League and many more. The soundtrack has gotten a lot better, the most noticeable song is Keane - "Nothing In My Way''. You can play all over the world, and the game is really clever in career and depending on the country you are in the weather will changes, from mostly rainy in Scotland to mostly sunny in Italy.

The players all have separate stats, such as stamina and ball skills. Also, different aspects about the players, is that they all have their separate skills. They also have different celebrations when scoring goals, and they vary in actions when they miss.

There is also the awesome manager mode; you need a USB cable to play though. The goalkeepers are now much better; they react very quickly unlike the other games. Also, a new aspect granted to this game, is the ability to create a club. The club will start rubbish, but as you get more money you can buy new players.

This game is masterpiece. The controls are easy, you will pick up on the game very easily. Even though you don't really expect that good graphics from a football game, I assure you that the players, the crowd, the stadiums, all look excellent. The career, managing, and creating teams will keep you occupied for absolutely ages because there's so much of it. But, unless you are looking for an absolutely vast improvement on Fifa 06 then this is not for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Know another camera that has got this many features?, 7 Sept. 2006
After the E900, which I thought was absolutely brilliant, but then I had my eyes on this gorgeous looking camera, and bought thus. (I collect them.) All right the price is high, but it isn't that bad for a digital camera, on top of that it is one of the best digital cameras around at the moment, for me the best.

Features: There are loads of adjustments you can do the picture; whether for style of if it is needed. There are 14 different scenery modes, all made for specific times, locations or just for style. The 14 modes include: Night snapshot, Indoor, Kids & Pets, Colour Accent, Colour Swap, Digital Macro, Portrait, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Underwater, Stitch Assist, Movie. In the right locations and happenings all of these modes are perfect, they will take a picture in the same quality as a normal photograph. Also, you can adjust the shutter speed, which affects the blurriness. The shutter speed is at maximum speed 15 seconds, and it depends on your eyesight what shutter speed suits you. (15 seconds tends to be the most blurry, smallest time possible is the best)

And there are many features on the ordinary photo shot. You can adjust the self-timer, two seconds, ten seconds or custom time. There is also continuous mode which takes two photos a second, and stops when you tell it to. There are a number of different Colour photo effects all very different: My Colours Off, Vivid, Neutral, Sepia, Black & White, Positive Film, Lighter Skin Tone, Darker Skin Tone, Vivid Blue, Vivid Green, Vivid Red, and Custom Colour. Focus systems - you can focus on objects that are even as close to the lens as 2cm. There is also the built-in flash, which you can set on auto mode or time the flash. The flash offers 5 different modes - (Auto, On, Auto Red-eye Reduction, Slow Synchro and Off).

The camera comes in a box that contains everything you need. The standard box kit contains a rechargeable Li-ion Battery, Battery Charger, AV Cable, USB Cable, Wrist Strap, 16Mb SD Memory Card and a CD-ROM containing Canon software. Half of these you are likely not to use, but the rest are very handy.

Conclusion: Excellent looking, amazing amount of memory (1GB - 1,000 photos), and all the amount of modes are amazing (you will need to read the instruction book to get started). Plus the fact that you can record videos and apply them to your phone. Best one out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best, ever, Ultimate Marvel Story Arc., 14 Aug. 2006
In many ways Ultimate Marvel is superior to the original Marvel comics, and these 14 comics are one of the reasons why: The art is some of the best I've seen in Marvel Comics (Pencils Trevor Hairsine and Inks Simon Coleby), and also the plot and the dialogue written by Warren Ellis is as usual spot on. This is an all round brilliant story.

The characters we see in these books are Nick Fury, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Phoenix, Wolverine, Colossus, Professor X, Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Also, in these story arcs, we are introduced to the Ultimate versions of Falcon, Marh-Vel (Captain Marvel), Vision, Silver Surfer, Misty Knight, and of course Ultimate Gah Lak Tus.

The plot: The worlds communication systems break down, and are replaced with images of Death and Aliens, making thousands around the globe to commit suicide. The broadcasts also reach psychics, and so Professor X and Phoenix are informed. Professor X tracks the Broadcasts down to Russia, and sends Colossus, Wolverine and Phoenix to find the source. But, Nick Fury also tracks down where the communications are coming from. Nick Fury, Falcon, Black Widow and Captain America go to find the source as well. Numerous enemies who were the results of the Russian Super Soldier Program attack both the X-Men and the Ultimates. The X-Men and The Ultimates eventually clash. The Ultimates defeat the X-Men yet the X-Men escape. They find out the source of the broadcasts is a robot called Vision, who is warning them of the coming of Gah Lak Tus.

Captain Marh-Vell was sent from his alien race the Kree to witness the destruction of the Earth by Gah Lak Tus. But he chooses to fight back, resulting in what could be the end of the World.

Each of the individual characters' personalities really sparks, Falcon is really cool, and Wolverine is still sarcastic about everything. I also like the idea that Silver Surfer is a henchman of Gah Lak Tus. You have got to see the remake of Gah Lak Tus, it is really different from Marvels, and it is an excellent and completely new idea. And of course the art, I really think that Trevor Hairsine and Simon Coleby are way underestimated, the art in these is some of the best you will see in the Ultimate Marvel Comics.

Art: 10/10

Character Development: 10/10

Plot: 10/10

5.0 out of 5 stars The best digital camera around of the modern day!, 8 Aug. 2006
The whole of my family have their own digital camera, and this the best as well as the cheapest!

I have been looking for a digital camera for a long time, but all of the modern ones are far too expensive. When I came across this E900 with a 1GB memory card, looked at the price and the reviews, I decided it was for me. And when I got it, it was easily the best camera I have ever had, and of course, it was much cheaper than all the others. Buy it!

Read the manual before you start using this camera, since there are to many buttons for one person to know what to do straight away. Once you have read the manual, which will only take a brief glance, you can begin!

You can change the camera to different modes for different times; this will help with the quality of your picture depending on the light. The modes include: Nighttime, dawn, things like that. Also, (on manual mode) to help with the quality of the picture, you can adjust the shutter speed and the brightness. Making the shutter speed quicker means there will be less blur. And, adjusting the brightness adjusts the light focus.

The camera is excellent, it captures the colour, shading and well, everything perfectly! Also the camera's video player is just as good, which can record as long as you like until it gets to 1GB, which is over 24 hours. The film is constantly changes when you are moving around, the film doesn't just suddenly appear somewhere else.

The most photos I have taken with 1GB is 407, it depends on the colour and brightness how much memory the photos take up. Or you can film for 24 hours. It will print on A4, even A3 for posters. Also, the computer can download the videos that you have recorded.

The camera itself is really cool lookin; it's small and the metal is well polished. The black and grey colours are used very well. The best looking and performing phone in the room guaranteed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good description. Bad story., 1 Aug. 2006
This review is from: The Fire Within (Paperback)
Okay, this is well written, the characters are decently developed and the description is good, but what is with the story? I am a boy and hoped there would be lots of dragons, but squirrels? I mean it's all about squirrels, not dragons. The dragons are only clay in the start and they are only properly introduced right at the end! And, the worst bit in the book, is the middle part when the book drones on about squirrels. Let me give you brief description of the story:

A twenty year aged man named David Rayne is a lodger who has rented a room in the house belonging to the Pennyketle's. As he soon dicovers, the house is full of clay dragons that the daugther Lucy has a passion for. And, of course, lets not forget the garden overrun with squirrels. Here we go: Lucy loves the squirrels, and the next-door neighbour hates them. The guy (next-door neighbour) cuts down his old oak tree and so the squirrels run off. But there is one injured squirrel that needs help. So the Pennykettles take it into thier home. They here about a vet, and take it there.

That's as far as I'm going to take you, I don't want to spoil the ending.

The good points about the book: The beggining is good, and the character introductions and developments are good. +2 stars for these factors And the dialogue is good. Well, hopefully I have expressed what is bad about the book: Not good story and the squirrels, -3 stars.

I would reccomend this book to 7-10 years, and girls would prefer it to boys (the story is about squirrels, and the characters are all ladies but one.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Rather pricey hey?, 31 July 2006
Now I know this is really expensive, but if you do have some (a lot!) of spare money, and you want a new phone then this is for you!

This phone is slightly like the Samsung phones, there is a part of the phone that slides up and down to unlock and lock the menu. Also, by sliding music and video control, you can accept calls. The phone is VERY cool looking: the big screen, the finely polished paint + the colours, the layout of the buttons and the smooth slide. All of these added up = the coolest looking phone in the room. The phone is quite big, it cannot fit into the smallest of pockets, but the size adds up to the awesome looks. Also, what's good about the size is that the screen is very big as well. As I said before, the paint is finely polished; you will find no rough points at all. Also, you will find that the slide has no trouble at all, it is also really smooth. No matter how many times you slide it, it will not break. The phone has more buttons than an average phone, it has its own personal buttons made for videos and music, which is much more helpful. It is really cool that you slide it down, not up to reveal the number buttons, I don't know why, it just feels... better.

This phone specialises in its videos and music. The videos can be recorded up to 1 hour, maybe more (I'm not sure but once I accidentally left it recording a video, when I came back it had been recording for 56 minutes). The videos are in very good quality, the light is put exactly in its place, and the picture is very precise. And music, which this phone REALLY specialises in. You can hold up to 3,000 songs on this phone thanks to the 4GB. You can turn the sound up to really high volume, which is helpful if your showing off your music to your friends! You can even make your own play lists.

Also the other aspects of the phone are really good. The still photos have even better captures of the surroundings than the videos; it is one of the best phone cameras around. The messages are sent instantly sent and received. If talking to someone on the phone, you can hear their voice as if they're there - the excellent sound system, and you can have video conversations (though they are very pricey)! The games are brilliant too, and you can download hundreds more, and the Internet allows you to buy loads, from pictures to updates on football. The screen is really colourful, thanks to the hundreds of pixels in the large screen. Finally, it has loads of applications including a stopwatch, world time and many more! This phone has all you good from a phone you could want, and it has it real good.

Overall, the N91 probably has the most memory and the best video capture of its time, and definitely the best sound out of all the phones before this one! It is truly amazing; if you want to stand out in the crowd, buy it!!! (If of course you have enough money!)
