2.0 out of 5 stars Too much wheat for smaller birds., 14 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Just too much wheat in it. I know it is labeled with wheat as the first ingredient, but it is overwhelmingly the main ingredient. If you are feeding birds that eat wheat then it is fine, but for small birds then this is not what you want at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars so little beef in it that it almost qualifies as vegetarian., 26 Jun. 2016
I wouldn't bother. Not only is it pretty tasteless, it is also pretty much all beans in a vaguely tomato-y sauce. There is so little beef in it that it almost qualifies as vegetarian.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not enough Godzilla, too much shadows shifting in darkness., 17 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Godzilla (2014) (Amazon Video)
This movie might as well have been called "Soldiers doing stuff in the dark" rather than "Godzilla". There just is not enough giant fire breathing lizard action, and far too much of soldiers fumbling around in caves, tunnels, or at night. It is a dark movie, not in tone (which is fairly bland, how they made a movie about giant monsters fighting bland is a mystery, but they managed it) but in actual light levels and that means you'll struggle to see any of the action. Speaking of the action, the director seems to delight in cutting away from it just as things get interesting. In one especially egregious case he cuts away from the monsters fighting to show a child watching the fight on television.

Also he kills Bryan Cranston's character off about fifteen minutes in.

Just isn't worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful conclusion to the trilogy. One for next year's Hugo awards I hope, 20 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A masterful conclusion to the trilogy, with all main matters settled and our star-crossed lovers finally at peace. Not as laugh out loud funny as the previous books, but the stakes are higher, the villains a bit darker, and things moving to a head; however there are still some good chuckles to be found as Frank and Lucille's lives continue to accrue complications. And there are some lingering plot threads still to tug on if Swann wishes to return to this world for a fresh cycle of adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars family fun that actually is fun for all the family, 3 April 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Minions (Amazon Video)
Those lovable little yellow creatures from the Despicable Me movies finally get to headline their own movie, and it is so worth it. Settle back for a film about, love, teamwork, imagination, ban-nanas, and minionbabble and just go with it as they look for a boss to follow and try to steal the British crown in the process.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't believe the hype., 19 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Starts slow, sags in the middle and peters out towards the end. There is a solid 15minutes of television there, but it is far too stretched out. Don't believe the hype.

4.0 out of 5 stars Get the toffs off the land, 2 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
An excellent and insightful book that is immaculately well researched and presented. Misses out the last star simply because it contains a small piece of prose near the end which attempts to be hopeful but in the light of the 2015 general election fails to admit how difficult the fight is going to be.

1.0 out of 5 stars The book crashes harder than the Star Destroyer Executor did in the movie., 19 Sept. 2015
To say this is a car wreck of a book is an insult to car wrecks, it is just bad. There are many problems with the story and characterisation, some of which might have been hidden in a more conventionally past-tense written book, and the rather peculiar choice of present tense makes them all the more glaring. If I could, I'd award it negative stars. Honestly, this is one to skip. Save your cash.
