Dark Tide II: Ruin (Star Wars: The New Jedi Order)
Dark Tide II: Ruin (Star Wars: The New Jedi Order)
by Michael A Stackpole
Edition: Paperback
Price: £8.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Vengance is a dish best served cold, 19 Aug. 2010
The duology takes a dramatic turn, the disasters in the previous books can never prepare you for what the YV's have planned for their invasion.

Leia seeks help from the Imperial Remnant, who's Moffs are reluctant to help, Palleon may have other plans though.

The Camaasi Senator makes his way to the Vong to learn their ways to see if peace can be reached.

The Jedi in turn take all knocks from their cowardly politicians with a great spirit of unity. Despite the contempt from Kyp Durron and his followers they all do their part in the war against these extragalactic invaders.

Stackpole finishes with a climax that was not forseen, even through the force.

Price: £8.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Stackpole delivers on the continuing NJO series, 19 Aug. 2010
After the turmoil felt by the climax of Vector Prime it was hard to imagine what horrors await the New Republic.

That however was only the beginning, Stackpole continues with this amazing series and gives us an in depth view of another caste of YV's.

This story helps you to understand the enemy, from a certain point of view.

Vector Prime (Star Wars: The New Jedi Order)
Vector Prime (Star Wars: The New Jedi Order)
by R. A. Salvatore
Edition: Mass Market Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Start for a Dark Time, 19 Aug. 2010
After reading the Thrawn Trilogy and Duology, skillfully penned by the great Timothy Zahn, I thought that it would take some beating, R.A. Salvatore has certainly matched the master that created Thrawn.

I took my time reading it knowing that the outcome was going to be tremendous and i was not disappointed, the dialogue is written to the same standards that we all know, the introduction of the YV's into the galaxy was very well planned.

Read away and feel the story wrap you up and tug at the heart muscles for an unexpected climax.
