This is relentlessly parochial and self-regarding. It is one-paced, sub-American Psycho, and seems incapable of adding any humour, irony or insight to a bunch of characters who are more interested in being 'characters' than giving the story any narrative drive. Ultimately, it holds no surprises about the music industry, dug-taking or the use of vibrators that have not been revealed better elsewhere. The more you read the less you get.
