4.0 out of 5 stars A great bike rack, 20 May 2010

This review is from: Thule Rideon 3-Bike (Automotive)
A very well made bike rack, which comfortably handles three bikes. Other reviews on build quality and security of bikes are accurate. Why only 4 stars ? One niggle for me is the securing bolt - if the rack came with a ratchet type spanner then it would be perfect, as it is a little bit fiddly to tighten the bolt. (only a little fiddly, and I'm probably being over-fussy). Optional lock to stop the bolt being undone by a thief is a sensible addition, but again at this price point would be nice if this was included in the main kit.

Certainly would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little gadget !, 2 Dec 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had this for a few weeks and gave it a real tryout last weekend. Over the space of three days, I managed to get to a number of shopping centres, hotels, and hospitals in two different cities (both of which were strange to me) without any problems. What more do you want ?

The device is very easy to use - especially with the full 7 character postal code. Instructions are clear but can take a little bit of getting used to - for example, coming off a ring road, the instruction was "keep left" quickly followed by "keep right". This was one of the strange slip roads that forked to go to two different directions. If you are naughty and glance at the very clear screen the 3D map view clarifies the spoke command perfectly.

Every gadget has downsides and here are a couple:
(1) Maps are 2006 editions
(2) Only 4 digit post codes for the IOM (but 7 digit for UK). Work around is to enter the 4 digit IOM post code, plus house number plus street.

Besides these - highly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy install, fast, no fuss, 31 Dec 2006

Rarely does a piece of IT kit actually live up to the manufacturers blurb - this one does.

I've struggled with getting my 54g wireless card working reliably under Ubuntu so took the plunge with the Devolo. Oh I wished I bought it sooner and saved hours of frustration. Installation is a breeze - out of the box, attached ethernet cable to device and pc, plug into mains: repeat for router and thats it ! Ubuntu now connecting to the router with no problems, and a lot quicker than my wireless connected Windows PC.

Like others, I'm using this on a 4 gang extension cable on the pc end and performance is great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for dark rooms, fairly quiet, 7 Sep 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Nice keyboard - very easy to install under Windows XP - just plug it into a spare USB port and away you go.
The blue light is nice - on an evening using the computer in the family room I can comfortably see all the keys without the light switched on (although note that the keyboard is on its own shelf on the workstation).
Its fairly quiet - definately not silent, but quieter than the keyboard that came with the computer. Before I bought this keyboard you could hear someone typing if you were watching TV in the next room. Now, the disturbance is considerably reduced.
All in all, a pretty good purchase. My only reservation is one that has been previously mentioned in that the wrist rest is a bit tacky, but it does do its job.
