This stuff is amazing. You just spray it on and literally watch the results before your eyes. You don't have to wait 5 minutes for it to dry or work.

Just try not to breathe it in or get it near your eyes, or you'll end up either feeling sick at the best, or in A&E at the worst. This stuff has some nasty ingredients.

POC Cortex Flow Full Face Helmet -

5.0 out of 5 stars Apart from that it's comfortable and fuss-free, 26 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Apart from that it's comfortable and fuss-free. It doesn't weigh very much, it's easy to clean but the paint did flake off a bit too quickly in certain areas for my liking. It's well-cushioned, and comes with a different-sized pair of foam cheek pads for those with different head sizes.

My only real concern is lack of a visor.

The most important aspect: safety. PoC have come up with an excellent compromise between weight and protection. It's very tough but nowhere near as heavy as some other bike helmets I have held, so I've never felt any neck strain after using this for long rides.

It's not their highest-safety helmet - that would be one that uses the MIPS system - but it has been tested, and like all the POC helmets they have positioned the seams of the shell at the points where impacts are the weakest to try and retain helmet strength. They use impact data and run simulations to determine how to design the helmets.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best 'mainstream' Windows Phone you can get, 5 Aug. 2014
Won one of these in a contest - pretty neat huh? Figured I'd review it.

+ Gorgeous display. Literally one of, if not the best mobile displays you'll ever set eyes on. Colours are vibrant and it's 1080p so it's crisp looking

+ Two useful things: Lots of 'kids control' to let you restrict what kids can do on the phone. Secondly you can create a custom version of the phone's interface - with restricted access of your choice - which you can turn on when, example, giving the phone to a colleague or friend. Lets you lend it to them but you can lock certain features up so they can't use them.
+ Good hardware specs. One of the most powerful phones you can buy. Definitely in the top three or four.

+ Dead easy to use. If you like iPhones ease of use, this is far easier to use. Great choice for a 'first' smartphone as it has the gentlest learning curve.

+ Syncing the phone requires a USB cable to connect to your computer. - That's it - no proprietary software like iTunes. Just plug it in and drop your songs, photos and files on the phone or pull them off of it.

+ Great build quality and finish. It's a beautiful looking phone, make no mistake. And it just works out of the box with minimal fuss. You don't need to spend hours setting it up. It even makes helpful prompts like the first time you open a map app it asks if you want to download any maps to the device so that they work offline, or the first time you open the news app it asks if you want breaking news alerts delivered as notifications.

I would say this: Don't be boring. Order in orange or green, you won't regret adding a little colour to your life! White looks classy too. You may be thinking 'but black is more professional or discrete' well let me say that when you see orange or green in person it doesn't look tacky at all, it looks great. Orange is bold and great for showing off. Green is relaxing and fresh.

+ Nokia drive+ comes free with the phone. It's a full-fledged sat nav app. You don't need to buy a TomTom or a Garmin, your phone will do the job just fine but be warned battery life drains a lot faster when doing navigation. However you can turn the screen off and the voice will still read directions to you. The maps can be downloaded meaning the sat nav works without using up any data (it only requires GPS, which is free) and if you want to use it in the car it can read directions through any bluetooth stereo. To be fair the phone can read text (SMS) messages through bluetooth too if you are driving.

+/- Battery life is average. By average, I mean the battery on this could probably last a heavy user around 6-9 hours and a typical user just about a whole day. An occasional user could get maybe a day and a half out of it. 6 hours is a worst-case scenario IE: heavy video watching/gaming. Most people don't game for 6 hours straight on their mobiles and if you do then you should consider a phone with a 3200+ mAh battery.

+/- Decent camera. Slightly above-average as phones go. Camera software though - Nokia Camera - is amazing. You can set the ISO, white balance, shutter speed, manual focus and exposure compensation. You can even overlay the screen with a rule-of-thirds shooting grid. Nokia definitely make great cameras.

- The previous incarnation of Windows Phone had better social network integration. Your social networking contacts are still baked into your phone's contacts menu (you can toggle this feature off by the way) but your Facebook chat is no longer baked into your SMS. In previous WP devices texts and chat from a single person all came up in one place which was handy. There is a specific reason why this integration was lost, but I won't go into that here. Social Network integration is now on par with other mobile OS's whereas it was a lot better before.

- 'App gap' may be closing fast but this is still a valid concern. And for some reason a lot of developers are slacking and making their apps far higher quality on other platforms. With that said, you'll find most of the big name apps are coming over. I recommend going to windowsphone.com and typing the names of your 'must have' apps into the search box on the site; this will search the marketplace. Note down which apps are missing and see if an alternative exists (for example we have alternatives such as 6snap for snapchat)

- Settings menu is still a disorganised mess. The least they could do is list everything alphabetically.

- notification (action) centre isn't as advanced as other platforms; (yet).

- no swappable battery

- no SD card port

- Bizarre bug a lot of people are experiencing whereby the blacks on the display - at certain levels of brightness - have a slightly purplish hue. It's software related so they can fix it, but they haven't yet. It's not a massive problem though. I think you need a fairly low brightness to notice it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Screen door DOES close properly, just takes time, 13 Jun. 2014
The fact these are glass, not film, makes them so good.

- no air bubbles
- really tough
- clear display. Screen is still easy to see. Colour is not affected.

Some here say you won't be able to close the screen door after fitting this. I found, that at first this was the case, the door would sit ajar. After closing the door and pressing firmly in a few times, the problem went away and the door has shut firmly ever since.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thick plastic; NOT flimsy film, 21 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Best screen protector I've ever used. Typically they are flimsy films you stick on, but tend to leave bubbles of air underneath.

NOT THIS. This is a chunky piece of plastic that fits perfectly. It'll stop the screen from being keyed. Not that I'd be stupid enough to try, but I reckon I could take a screwdriver to the screen and this protector would keep it unharmed.

5.0 out of 5 stars There's a reason this has so many high ratings, 13 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It lasts a decent amount of time. It cleans VERY effectively. Any reviewers commenting on a black smear, well I get no such smearing. The carbon is NORMAL, it's how it cleans. It absorbs fingerprints, etc.

The pens come with a microfibre cloth.

I HIGHLY recommend you buy an air blower to go with them if you haven't. then you will have all you need to keep the camera in shape and take clear pics.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worked fine at first, but now..., 13 Dec. 2012
After about 6 months and through good care and relatively little use, the drive has started to become... picky at reading discs. Even CDs. Ripping music, for instance, is now a painful process. I went up to the DVD drive in our 6 year old PC and it completed a rip in 10 seconds that takes this drive over 10 minutes and 5 attempts. This is not a problem with my ripping software configurations. This is to do with the drive itself playing up.

It's also very, VERY noisy. I know optical drives in general ARE noisy, but this thing, at high spin rates, sounds like a plane. Kind of irritating if you're trying to watch a film. Fortunately Samsung has 'Magic Speed' software which allows you to limit the drive speed (silent mode)

The price seems to have gone up by 50% since I bought mine (I paid about 40 quid) but I suppose it's within a pretty average price range. It's best to avoid buying the drives that are "too cheap" as they are often more prone to read errors and at the very worst you don't want to risk any damage to your disc. This drive hasn't scratched or scuffed a single disc yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Durable with high quality design, 6 July 2012

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The overall product is quite durable. If you want bullet proof this isn't for you, however the cover is tough and it'll keep the cards safe.

It really is quite a chunky binder so it can take quite a beating. It holds 100 sheets, 18 cards per sheet, that's 1800 cards capacity (un-sleeved) and when full the binder doesn't tend to bulge.

The sleeves themselves are Ultra Pro Platinum 9-Pocket Pages which are amazing, they do not cloud up, are PVC free, glossy and scratch resistant and they are (most importantly) detachable from the binder.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really nice product, reliable so far, 3 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I do like this product, it's 6 months down the line and all the LEDs are still working percectly. They are VERY bright and it is indeed a true white (~4000 kelvin)

One star is gone because the strip, which connects to your computer by way of a molex connector, only has one power connector. If you want to cut the strip in half, because 1. it is quite long and 2. you might want to put half at one end of the case and half at the other, you can make this work perfectly but you will have to do a little bit of 'DIY' with the wires.
