4.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality case with room for tiny improvements ., 19 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its a very well built case that looks very slick . It was very easy to build with there is plenty of space. Structure feels good very little flex in the panels. No rattles or creeks. Sturdy but not heavy.

Good points.

Great selection of screws with good documentation.
Fans are strong enough and very quiet.
The flexible mounts for HDD's an SSD's are great and easy to use.
Colour matching between plastic top/front and metal case is very good.
The removable middle drive cage , which can just slip out with the press of a button is great.
Plenty of space and tie points behind mother board for cable management.
Fan, usb, switch, etc . All the cables are long enough for what ever board you use and all the fan spots.
Space above the top fans for mounting a long water radiator and keep it hidden. I will be doing this in the future.

Small places for improvement:
Molex fan connector is poor quality. Ok all molex connectors everywhere are rubbish but the wobbly pins in this made me slip and cut myself.

Screws on front fans are just the right length to attach fans to the case. However I also wanted to attach filters . I couldn't with these screws. They are about 28mm long need to be about 32 mm so they can go through fan & filter and into case. The fans are plastic so magnetic ones wont work. My filters are just the 120mm ones. You can by filters that fit the shape of this case but at 45 that was more than I want to spend.

Rubber grommets for cable management aren't fixed to the case and tend to fall out as you push cable back and forth.

Behind the door for optical drives there is a small rim on the plastic front cover. Once your 5 1/4 inch devices are in it can be difficult to remove the front plastic cover without pulling out the drives behind it. Thinking cleaning my filters. In my case my optical drive is ok and misses the rim but my icy box catches it ,meaning I have a bunch of cables to unplug every time I want to take the front cover off.

Creative Inspire T6300 5.1 Surround Speaker System with Remote
Price: 59.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Sounds great couple of small issues., 16 Feb 2014

First for reference;

Everything plugs into the subwoofer, so plan cable lengths from there. Satallite speakers are all male RCA connectors.
Its designed to work with a computer and there are three 3.5mm audio jacks, green/black/orange.

Cable lengths:
Front speakers (left/right) : approx 1.45m
Centre speaker: approx 1.6m
Rear speakers (left/right) speakers: approx 3.7m
Wired remote control: approx 1.5m
Power cord from subwoofer: approx 1.5m
Subwoofer to computer : approx 1.4m

Good points:
Easy setup .
Nice looking speakers
Compact.
Sound great to my untrained ear for both movies and music.
Can pump out a lot of volume and bass in a small room.

Not so good points:
Cable lengths could have been longer in general but especially the back. Be prepared to by extenders (RCA connectors get a male to female ).
Auto power off. You will think your speakers are broken , just turn them off and on again. It seems to be volume controlled so even when you are playing music etc they may switch off. I found turning the volume inside windows up, and on the creative remote down to get the volume that I desired, helped with this issue.

So all in all good speakers that would be 5* for the price except for the couple of improvements that could be made.

Steve Jobs: The Exclusive Biography
Steve Jobs: The Exclusive Biography
by Walter Isaacson
Edition: Hardcover
Price: 16.75

2.0 out of 5 stars Go to your local apple store and read the marking brochures, its the same thing., 3 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
No matter your thoughts on Steve Jobs this bloated work of randomness is not a true biography.

The first third is a fact summing up history of Steve Jobs and actions in early life. There is reasoned thought here and gives false hope that this will continue though the book.

The next third the author falls in love with his biographical subject. Its gushy romance where the greatest person who has ever and will ever live shoots unicorns from his butt at us. To paraphrase one piece of Mills and Boon writing " Steve was a genius who will be looked on in a hundred years as the Henry Ford or Edison of his day." .. swoon.

The final third, and I guess feeling the full weight of Stockholm syndrome. The author has just cut and paste apple marketing literature into the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book that proves you are wrong . Yep its you I am looking at., 3 Feb 2014

This witty insightful book takes common sense and stands it on its head.

With this book , those feeling of cognitive dissonance can get you new friends or at least get your own way. You will also be able to avoid fiery deaths in airplanes.

Ironically once you have finished this book perhaps you will be as smart as you thing you are.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great printer , really expensive ink., 3 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The printer is fast and produces great quality output. Setup for wireless printing was very easy.

However the ink prices even for third party are ridiculous. Be prepared to pay almost a third to a half the price of the printer for a set of new cartridges .

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the better lower priced shelfing units., 3 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The difference between units at this price is the connecting systems.

These ~50 models use slotted connections to join the bars to each other.

I have come across two types . This model's tongues about 3/4 of a penny bent out from one bar that fit into a slot in the other. This is the type of connection you want. It provide a secure and above all stable connection. There other models that connect using a protruding button that fits through a hole in the other bar. This is not the type you want to use , it provides a poor wobbly connection.

In the model reviewed here the only issue might be the pieces that join the top and bottom together. There are 4 inch long right angles with slots and tongues. Of the 4 units I bought one joining piece of one unit (1 out of 16)was not bent at 90 degrees I tried to re-bend but this just makes it worse. I ended up using the connector but only using 3 out of the 4 slots and tongues. to connect one corner. The unit was still solid as a rock , but you know, quality counts.

Use a hammer to bang the slots together . It will be very sturdy.

I did get the hardback on sale at 6 . What a steal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of pictures, 3 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I like cook books with a lot of pictures so I know what I am getting, this is choc full of them. There is a good variety of Indian fare from starters and main courses to breads. As well all the usual curry recipes , there are plenty of different regional recipes.

The recipes use all the basic Indian ingredients nothing too difficult to obtain and are clear to follow .

Its quite a small book but this doesn't detract from its quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Movie. Fantastic extras, 3 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The thing that makes this blu-ray stand out are the fantastic extras. Many hours (on two extra disks) of behind the scenes and production documentaries.

Its a good movie made slightly better by the extended scenes, that ease you a bit more gently into the movie. The colour and sound of the conversion to blu-ray is excellent.
