Beyond the valley of Slipknot, 5 Aug. 2002
It would be very difficult to review this album without first mentioning Slipknot, The Murderdolls are the brainchild of Joey Jordison from Slipknot and Trip Eisen (Static X.) The album is however nothing like the metal giants, with songs like Die my bride, B-movie scream queen and Kill Miss America, the whole thing is a tribute to old horror movies and takes its influence more from the Frankenstein Drag Queens from the planet 13, of which singer Wednesday 13 is the singer of the Murderdolls.
The album reverts back to its roots and whilst listening to the songs the lyrics are devilishly funny. Just buy this record if you want rock music merged with horror movies, and there is nothing like this out there today and hell its just good music, so buy it anyway. It's worth it just to hear the song 'die my bride:'
"i'd rather cut you up than the wedding cake"
