5.0 out of 5 stars A good affordable cable, 23 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
All I needed was a low cost micro HDMI cable to connect my BlackBerry Playbook and Dev-Alpha devices to a tv to test some new applications.

This cable works perfectly for its intended purpose. There is no need to pay a premium for HDMI cables, as even the cheapest will give a perfect picture.

Delivery was quick and efficient and the packaging minimal. Overall a highly recommended buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality and most importantly cheap!, 22 Dec. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There is not much to say about a cable like this. It does what it is supposed to do, namely take a digital signal from a DVI port to an HDMI port. As the signal is digital, there is no need to pay any more for expensive cables, as there will be zero difference in picture quality. Also, the frustration free packaging is certainly welcome.

So to sum up:

-It does the job well
-It is fairly cheap
-Highly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good cable for a reasonable price, 7 May 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Too often I see cables for digital products overpriced, be it USB or HDMI cables. Other manufacturers have managed to convince some that a vastly more expensive cable will give a better picture. In our world of digital transmission, this is complete nonsense.

But i digress, this cable from Neet is priced right and not only is the price right, it is a very good quality cable. The cable was bought to show images and HD video from out Canon 500D on our LCD TV. One of the nicest features of this cable is the fact that the cable does not try to curl itself back together. It doesn't put any stress on the connection or device. I would have to say that the description about reducing stress on the connectors is spot on.

Then there is the packaging... none of this annoying hard plastic with cardboard inserts, just the looped cable in a small plastic bag. The protectors on the connectors are also a welcome addition; as this cable won't always be connected, they will help with the protection from dust.

The delivery time was actually quite astonishing. It was dispatched within 30 mins of the order being placed and arrived by 9am the next day in Dublin.

What more can I say, it is a cable to do a simple job. It does that job well. But as always with things in life, it is the little things that make the difference.

If you need a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable, I would highly recommend this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best pieces of tech i could ask for for college, 9 Nov. 2009
I have been using this tablet for just over a week now and the best way to sum it up is: WOW! This is the first time I've used a touchscreen laptop, so i thought it would take a while to get used to it. But within 5 minutes, I'd completely forgotten about the keyboard and track pad. for normal web browsing, if you see something you want to click, just touch it. I now find myself trying to poke the screens of all computers I come into contact with because it is much more intuitive than using a mouse.

For college, as I am in an engineering course, there are a lot of diagrams and graphs, that would normally need to be taken down on paper. But with this all of my notes are written straight onto the screen and saved with annotations of handouts etc. I shouldn't need another pen or piece of paper until exam time now.

As for the hardware, yes the fan is on most of the time, but you get used to it very quickly. the processor is speedy and there is more than enough ram. I have no problem running the latest CAD programs with the on-board graphics either. The battery life doesn't live up to expectations though. HP kindly provides both a 4-cell and an 8-cell battery. In total with both batteries I get about 6- hours use out of the machine, which isn't bad, but obviously nowhere near the 12 hour claim.

An HDMI port would have been nice, but I doubt I'll miss that functionality too much.

HP's bundled touch friendly software is a gimmick more than anything else, rather just stick with Windows 7 and Media center.

Not much more that I can say except that I highly recommend this machine.
