5.0 out of 5 stars Exterminate!!!!!!, 28 Jun. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
wow! I remember having the vinyl L.P to this so when I seen this for a bargain price of less than a fiver I snapped it up.its just basically the audio of the actual genesis of the Daleks episodes, shortened with Tom Bakers voice filling in the missing bits.its packaging is real retro, exactly as I remember it when I was a kid.even the disc has the original BBC label printed on it.this is a good place to start if your just getting into Who audio books.bought this to play in the car and plan on buying more. they're also great to take on holiday for lazy days on the beech and you need your Who fix.an essential purchase for all Who fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Dr who,let down by poor extras, 11 Jun. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
OK I love horror of fang rock, its got my favourite doctor(tom baker)and my favourite assistant(Louise Jameson).a dodgy monster and some over the top camp acting.set in a lighthouse, its well scripted and directed by paddy russell(pyramids of mars)some comical moments and some great one liners. however this dvd falls short on its extras.the commentary is rather boring, paddy russell a life in television is a short film of paddys involvement in television and dr who episodes, were she moans about the difficulty of making the episodes.a antique road show.were people are quoted not very much money for their prized who possessions and a Terrence Dicks short about his writing of books and television.the dvd is a worthwhile purchase just for its excellent story, just dont expect the usual high standard who extras.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've got a golden blu ray, 3 Jun. 2011
we all know how great this film is,but what's surprising is how stunning the blu ray looks!! Warner have done a great job in tidying up this great movie.the colours look stunning!reds, blues and purples which are used a lot in this film look sublime.granted, this film is nearly 40 years old so dont expect digital excellence, but its certainly the best ive ever seen it look.audio is fine and more front heavy.bonus material consists of a brilliant commentary track,by the child actors, all grown up, which is just as entertaining as the film.a brilliant making of which explains why the name of the film differs from the book.(Quaker the food company put the money up to make the film on the promise of promoting its new candy bar called a Wonka bar).A sing a long to 4 of the songs, vintage featurette and a theatrical trailer.Willy Wonka is probably my all time favourite family film, and seeing it in hi-def just makes it so much better.if you don't already own this,demand...I want it now!!!enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars tom baker round for tea, 30 May 2011
This review is from: Dr Who Coasters
I was a bit sceptical about buying these, just in case they were cheaply made and of inferior quality.fear not,as they are neither of these, good quality item and great if your a tom baker fan(these are based on the baker years episodes).had loads of great comments about them when friends are a round for tea.great item that even a cyberman would be impressed with.

5.0 out of 5 stars no strimming wire, 27 May 2011
bought this as it was a blade type strimmer.my old on was a wire type, and i was forever replacing and un-tangling it,which was a real pain.this bosch uses a simple blade system, that can easily be replaced by simply clipping the new one on.(no more fiddling with feeding wires through holes)i got about 23 minutes out of the battery which is fine for my garden.its well made, and comes with a 2 year guarantee.a very good quality strimmer by bosch which id recommend to anyone who doesn't want the hassle of a fiddly wired strimmer.5 stars..

5.0 out of 5 stars never sounded so good, 21 May 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Night People (Audio CD)
i was always a fan of classix nouveaux, especially this album.had it on vinyl for over 30 years and with my record player finally giving up the ghost decided to but the cd version.it comes nicely packaged with a fold-out inner, which includes lyrics, photo and some background info, but its the actual re-mastering that's so impressive with this release.all the songs sound so much better, sounds ive never heard are now audible.inside outside sounds superb, sals voice on guilty nearly blew my speakers!!a real fine package. wouldn't hesitate in recommending this to anyone who had the original album.well done cherry red records on a superb release.

5.0 out of 5 stars just brilliant, 21 May 2011
if your after a small.light. powerful and reliable lawnmower? there's no beating this little beauty.i have a relatively large front and back garden and this has never let me down(now in its fourth year!)its not too big so can be stored in a small place and is very light,so if you your not a champion weightlifter this is the one to go for.only downside is the collection box isn't that big.well worth the money.would have no hesitation recommending it to anybody.

4.0 out of 5 stars marksman madman, 9 May 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
a great 70s disaster style movie.stars charlton heston(so you know your onto a winner)about a mad marksman who has took up a position on the top of the los angeles coliseum during a football final.a taught thriller that keeps up the suspense till near the end when all hell breaks loose.nice to see the full un-cut version here and not the t.v version which i remember being shown in the early 80s.dvd wise the pictures fine along with a rather low mono soundtrack.no extras.a great film.just a pity they dont make them like this any more.enjoy.

3.0 out of 5 stars the first of the ninja trilogy, 5 May 2011
This review is from: Enter The Ninja [DVD] (DVD)
this is the first outing of sho kosugis famous ninja trilogy, and while not exciting as revenge of the ninja or ninja 3 the domination its still a fairly decent movie.stars franco nero and susan george.nero playing a good ninja(dressed in white)and kosugi(dressed in black)playing the bad guy.its a fairly bad storyline and the actings pretty dreadful.even some of the martial arts action is badly choreographed, but theres something about this movie that makes you forgive all the bad points.the weaponry and the ninja philosophy being a couple.ive just checked the bbfc website and it seems this film is going to have the cock fight edited out.(filmed in the Philippines where cock fighting was considered a sport)which is no bad thing, but all the rest of the movie including all the weaponry and some nasty deaths are going to be re-instated for the first time in the uk.if your going for a decent ninja movie id suggest revenge of the ninja or the octagon, but if you own them and looking for a fix of ninja action then enter the ninja maybe what your looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best of the ninja trilogy, 29 April 2011
This review is from: Revenge Of The Ninja [DVD] (DVD)
went to see this in the cinemas in 84,when ninja films were still in their infancy.it sits firmly between enter the ninja and ninja 3 the domination.made for the market that was soon to be saturated in ninja films.this has everything you could want....swords,throwing stars and even flame throwers.so far fetched, but hey,its ok.this is one of the best ninja films ever!stars a young sho kosugi who became the master of all ninja films.ok i cant comment on picture quality but i own the region 1 dvd which has a pan and scan print but which is fully un-cut.ive just checked the bbfc website and it seems that this edition is going to also be un-cut which will the first time in the u.k that this film will be shown un-censored.enter the ninja is also being released which is the film prior to this, and lets hope ninja 3 the domination isn't far behind.if you like lots of action, ninja weaponry and a bit of cheese and some bad acting, this comes highly recommended, and deserves a place on any martial arts fans dvd shelf, just a pity they don't make them like this anymore.enjoy.
