2.0 out of 5 stars Very poor, 22 Jan. 2006
This review is from: Hypnotize (Audio CD)
After the initial release of Mezmerise earlier last year, and also seeing the band live too, I was expecting alot from this album.
My advice is not to buy it, there are about 2/3 good tracks, and the rest are really irritating. Steer clear of this one. Buy Mezmerise instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album!!!, 13 Mar. 2005
This review is from: Garage Inc. (Audio CD)
The 1998 release of Garage Inc, saw the band go back to most of the songs they played back to the early-to-mid 80's.
CD1 contains songs they did in 1998, I reckon the best is 'Whiskey in the Jar'.
CD2 contains material from 1984-1995, again I would have to go with 'The Wait' as the best song here.
Most cover albums are usully cast off straight away, however the CD is so consistant is definatley worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Film 5 Stars!!, 3 Mar. 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
What can I say, after reading much about the film and finally getting the chance to watch it. It certainly didn't let me down.
Best scene: Lars Ulrich speaking to ex band member Dave Mustaine.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best metal albums ever!!, 27 Dec. 2004
This review is from: Sinner (Audio CD)
I brought this album earlier this year when I first heard 'Bodies'.The album is great all the way through.
Personally I think 'All Over Me' is the best track.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pop Music!!!, 2 Nov. 2004
This review is from: Permission To Land (Audio CD)
Not really fair for me to review the band, as I cannot stand them. Why do they try to be Queen, they would never come close!!
Also why does a pop-band like them appear on Kerrang??

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Metallica album!!!!, 7 Sept. 2004
This review is from: And Justice For All (Audio CD)
For any fan of heavy metal, this CD should simply been included.
Here is my breakdown for each of the songs:
1-Blackened-Great intro song,very heavy, 8.5/10
2-..And Justice For All-Quite long, but carries a great riff. 9/10
3-Eye Of The Beholder-Another great song. 8/10
4-One-What can I say, easily one, if not the best Metallica song ever 10/10.
5-Shortest Straw-Another fairly long heavier songs, does get quite repetitive, 8/10
6-Harvester of Sorrow-A popular live song by the band, one of the best songs on the album 9/10.
7-The Frayed Ends of Sanity-Spooky intro another longer heavy track, again another song which gets a little repetitive, 7.5/10.
8-To Live Is To Die-Instrumental, with some ideas from former bassist Cliff Burton. 8/10
9-Dyers Eve-A great ending to a great album.Solid 8.5/10.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Book, 31 Aug. 2004
Got the book last month, has some funny in-depth interviews with the band, and loads of pictures.
Dosen't really tell you the story of Metallica, but it is a very solid release, which you can't really fault.

This review is from: St. Anger (Audio CD)
Not a bad album.....took me a few months to want listen to the tracks I had not seen on TV. But I think the great thing about the album is the more you listen to it the more you can appreciate what it is about!
Bring on the next one!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Re-Load rocks!!!!!!, 18 Jun. 2004
This review is from: Reload (Audio CD)
I've been a Metallica fan for over 4 years, and I think Re-Load, along with Master of Puppets is the best Metallica album released. I think you find the only Metallica 'fans' who don't appreciate it are the 80's-only fans.
I say don't mock it until you try it!!!!!
Best track by far has to be Fuel then folowed by Bad Seed which is easily one of the best Riffs Metallica have produced in recent years....just a shame about some of the lyrics!!
