Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Succinct, well constructed and accessible to those unfamiliar with the under-pinning psychology and other social sciences. Good guide to contents.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Language Text Book Ever, 30 Oct. 2010
This review is from: AQA GCSE Spanish (Paperback)
I have been delivering and receiving language training / education for several decades. For simple logical reasons, in that time, I have had to use or choose a wide range of language course books. By far and away this is the very best I've ever come across. Am now using it to personally acquire Spanish because 'nuestra Profesora' uses it as the course book. (Have a daughter and grandchildren living in Chile - so have a vested interest in results rather than exams.) The book has been put together by a team and publisher who clearly know what a language learner needs and more importantly, the team knows how these needs should be delivered and presented. The balance of text to image, text to exercise, diversity of exercises, examples and samples, use of colour coding, relevance of the exercise / learning experiences to the target population (adolescent GCSE students) are all superb. The preparation of the student for the GCSE exams is also very well covered. Especially useful are the many summary tables for grammar and vocabulary. I would have no hesitation in heartily recommending this book to trainers, teachers and learners alike.
