Black & Decker GL5028SB 500W Reflex Auto Line Feed Strimmer
Black & Decker GL5028SB 500W Reflex Auto Line Feed Strimmer

4.0 out of 5 stars Good bit of kit, 26 Jun. 2014
Works well and well made. Worth paying a bit extra for as the auto feed on my last strimmer simply did not work properly and it took ages doing even a small garden area with having to constantly reset the line. This one works really well and takes much less time. Only complaint and the reason for 4 stars is the lead, which is far to short and you have to use an extension.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Watch at a good price, 31 Aug. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought as a spare watch for sports etc. I was looking for something that had decent quality and a bit different with the LED display included. For £20 this watch fits the bill and looks great. Happy to recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sheer Class., 17 April 2008
This review is from: More Miles Per Hour (Audio CD)
John Miles should have been one of the major rock stars of the last 30 years. Period. Had it not been for a series of record company legal wrangles and the inability of the public to grasp that a musician that could actually write songs with different syles and musical genres then he would have been. This was John's 4th release, and marked a return to the partnership with Alan Parsons and Andrew Powell as producer and orchestra arranger respectivly that had such a dramatic impact with his first release Rebel. That LP contained John's most well known song, the classic Music (was my first love).

MMPH contains the usual wide range of styles, from rock, to funk, to ballards and even a bit of country, sometimes within the same song! On songs like Can't Keep A Good Man Down he rocks out with the best of them, he is an outstanding guitar player and some of the solo's on songs like We All Fall Down and Fella In The Cellar are fantastic. Some would argue that the production is over the top and the solo's and rock edge are slightly lost in the complex arrangements and orchestral backing, but it does make for a thrilling musical experience, in some ways ahead of its time. It must have broken a few old Hi-Fi sytems in the 1970's! The slower songs such as It's Not Called Angel and Oh Dear do benefit from the extra production layers.

The LP sold well when it came out, and had it contained a stand out top 10 single rather than a suite of carefully contructed quality songs, then John Miles may well have been that "major rock star" for years to come. However, sometimes the best does not always get the recognition it deserves, if it's quality you want, great songs and great playing then get this CD and check out his other CD's as well. Enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars The return to form continues...., 16 April 2006
This review is from: Coast to Coast (Audio CD)
The Stranglers released Norfolk Coast in 2004 to almost universal aclaim, a CD that saw The Stranglers return to what they do best. Rousing and cleverly constructed songs, lot's of pounding bass, swirling keyboards, clever arrangements and some typically quirky moments. The question was, would it travel into the live arena?

Actually, there was never such a question. The Stranglers have always been an outstanding live act and these new songs were just perfect to add to a set list that was in need of a bit of refreshment. Lets face it, if you see The Stranglers they have to play No More Heroes, Golden Brown and the other classics. What this live CD shows is that the sprit in the camp has also been lifted and they launch into the new songs, and the classics, with renewed vigour and attack. Excellent sound and production means your speakers will feel the full benefit!

This is one of those CD's you put on and everyone likes it. They forgot just how good Skin Deep, Always The Sun and Walk On By are, they can't believe how oustanding the new songs are and then you get Something Better Change, Tank, 5 Minutes and No More Heroes to ram home the message. This is a great live CD, Buy it!
