Inov8 F-Lite 192 Running Shoes - 11

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent minimal running and gym shoe, 24 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fantastic running shoes. Minimal but very comfortable footbed. Plenty of space for me in the toe box. Also great in the gym (I use them for CrossFit when we aren't doing Olympic lifts.)

Excellent shirt for both the gym and cooler days of running. Great that they have a little stretch to allow movement. I have now bought 2 of these.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great boots but sadly narrow toe box, 24 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These are great comfortable boots. The problem for me is that I have narrow feet but splayed toes. These boots are narrow all along the foot, meaning a great fit for me in the heel and mid-foot but that they squeeze my toes in. I have opted instead for a pair of Salomon Quest 4D GTX boots. Perhaps these have a wider toe box because Salomon is better known for trail running shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small, lightweight and bright, 5 Mar. 2014

These are great binoculars for their small size. I have found them brilliant for birdwatching, sports and hiking. And small enough to fit in a jacket pocket.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic insider view of Detroit, 5 Mar. 2014
This is a brilliantly readable account of a Detroiter's return to their home city with both personal stories and an historical perspective on its rise, decline and (possible) rejuvenation.

And for info, I bought this on a visit to Michigan earlier this year and it appears that the UK publication has been renamed "The Last Days of Detroit: Motor Cars, Motown and the Collapse of an Industrial Giant". They are the same book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great cheap phone for festivals, hiking and travelling, 9 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a great phone for when you don't need or want all the extras that go with a much heavier smartphone. I love how small and light this phone is. And the battery life at around 10 days is fantastic. It doesn't get 5 stars as it is only dual band, which limits its use for outside Europe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for converting another bag into a camera bag, 9 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have used this insert in a Timbuk2 Classic Messenger for some time now. It is thick enough to protect all my camera gear without any worries when on the go. It easily fits a DSLR body, three lenses (17-40, 50, and 70-200), flashgun, and cables, charger, filters etc. Great bit of kit at a great price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mildly-amusing but poorly researched, 9 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This books starts off well enough, with an amusing account of the author growing up and the reasons for becoming a vegan. Unfortunately it then descends into the rant of an angry, bitter man with a chip on his shoulder. He blames an awful lot of his problems on doctors and the UK's National Health Service (NHS), and yet repeatedly tells the reader that you can find all the information you need on the internet. The author says that his views are independent and objective and that he doesn't have an agenda, yet he quotes many organisations that that certainly do have lobbying interests. The books ends with some common sense advice but by this point the author has lost my trust. Lastly, the book really, really could do with a good proof read - this is minor but the number of sentences that ended without any punctuation really started to grate on me, and I was a little confused by his reference to "Monk Jack" deer in the small section on venison until I realised he was talking about Muntjac deer. I'm a vegetarian but I like to think I am opened-minded to both sides of any argument. If you want to know about the benefits of and reasons to eat meat there are many better books out there.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor, 24 Jan. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These refills look similar to other branded ones, but the quality is markedly inferior. My main gripe, and it's an important one, is that the refills do not connect very well with the pen (and I have tried them on 3 different fountain pens). In particular, the refills tend to fall off if you unscrew the pen leading to spilling, and a few have even bent in the pen in the process of inserting them. I will be sticking to Pelikan inks in the future.
