Mr. Heracleous' insights of the aviation sector and Singapore Airlines in particular are fascinating. As an advisor to a leading carrier for the past several years, I learned an incredible amount not just about the economics of the airline industry but about the profound impact good leadership has on making people go beyond the call of duty. If you want to be a market leader, then you must read and apply the lessons in this book. An excellent read.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Markides when I had him speak to a group of my clients. Not only is his writing energetic, but he is too, sharing some of the anecdotes in this well-written and accessible book on a subject, Strategy, often made complex by less able academics. This should be required reading for anyone -- in business or not -- looking to clarify their thinking about how to play the game of life.

with Mazur's and Miles' marketing backgrounds, this takes most of the dry writings on eco-business and makes it accessible and usable in any business. The diversity of experts they've included in the book means I learned a lot from the wide variety of viewpoints and backgrounds of these people -- Timberland, Stonyfield Farm, Friends of the Earth. A great read. Bravo!
