4.0 out of 5 stars Great voice, great sound, 9 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Sparkle (Audio CD)
Love this album. Had to buy it because i'm a big fan of R.Kelly and i know he's a great producer too. His melodies and Sparkle's sweet tingly voice complement each other on this album. It's a must have

2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, 9 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Graffiti (Audio CD)
When i first listened to this album i wasn't sure whether it was R'n'B or electropop. We all know that Chris is an R'n'B artiste, nothing wrong with experimenting with other sounds, but it becomes a problem when most songs on the album don't sound like R'n'B. No doubt Chris Brown is ahead of his R'n'B peers vocalwise. I wish he could have utilized these vocals more on this album rather than make the sound dictate the direction of the songs. However, i still believe in this guy, and he still has much to offer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, he IS the king of R'n'B, 9 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Untitled (Audio CD)
Unbelievable, it's hard for an artiste who's been in the game for years to still come out and produce such an amazing album. He uses The-Dream type of sound on Echo, Like I Do and Text Me and he does it so well. Religious and Elsewhere are two slow jams full of flavour and soul. The Keri Hilson assisted, rightly named Number 1 shows why he's the best in the game. He recruits the vocal skills of Robin Thicke, Tyrese and The-Dream on Pregnant but makes sure he's not overshadowed on his own song. People! no gimmicks, no jokes, you've gotta have this album - i promise, if you're a true R'n'B fan you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Amazing!!!, 30 Oct. 2009
This review is from: 24 7 (Audio CD)
I have long declared that this is my favourite album of all time. The kind of album that literally drove me crazy the first time i heard. I could write a book about how great this album is. All tracks are incredible but the following are out of this world
How Often
Baby Come To Me
A Girl Like You
Sensitive Mood
Love Will Be Waiting
Never Love You

This is one of the few albums i have given 5 stars on here - it is just amazing!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, 30 Oct. 2009
This review is from: Ready (Audio CD)
When Trey Songz came on the scene, i did not pay much attention to his debut. But after hearing his sophomore, Trey Day, i could not wait for his next project. It was well worth the wait! Not only is it an album with personality, but its an album whereby the artiste not only shows his vocal prowess, but also manages to bring out a story behind a song. Tracks that stand out for me include;
Black Roses - an unusual, damn good song!
Love Lost - this is the track Trey Songz declares that he's a vocal beast
Say Aah - reminiscent of Jamie Foxx's Blame It, but incredible beat and great verse by Fabolous
Does He Do It - just amazing, nothimg more to say
I Need A Girl - quality production by StarGate

Trey's gonna have to work really hard for this next album to top this one

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, 30 Oct. 2009
This review is from: Jeremih (Audio CD)
Birthday Sex is so good, you would be tempted to believe the album is too. I have never been shocked before. This is an album you would play and 2 minutes later forget what it was all about - well, except Birthday Sex. It's hard to point the direction of Jeremih's songs, some of the tunes seem like they were rushed up in the studio and lost the melody. Vocally, he is quite good, well, better that Omarion but way below Trey Songz, Bobby V. etc. The only other songs i could bear to hear again were Jumpin' and Hatin' On Me. I still believe, with the right songs, this fella is destined for greatness.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality R&B, 30 Oct. 2009
I listened to this album and could hardly believe this was the dude from Pretty Ricky. Feels like he took off the Pleasure P jacket and put on Marcus Cooper - some good quality R&B. A natural talent who knows how to tame his voice and doesn't try too hard to oversing. This is the best male debut album i have listened to since Kevon Edmonds' effort in 1999. Tracks that stand out for me are;
Birthday Suit
Your Love

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, 22 July 2009
This review is from: Different Me (Audio CD)
Listening to this album for the first time i wasn't impressed. Keyshia made a monster of an album on her previous 'Just Like You' and i thought she was going to find it hard to keep up the standard. However, listening to it after 3 times i came to the conclusion that it is on par with her previous effort. Her collaborations with Tupac and Monica bring out remarkable songs in 'Playa Cardz Right' and 'Trust' respectively. The production on the album is just out of this world, particularly the melodious harmonica played by her mentor, Ron Fair on most songs. Keyshia also manages to impress with up-tempo tracks such as 'Erotic' and 'Beautiful Music'. Saving the best for last - 'Brand New' is just unbelievable. Keyshia always manages to come up with knockout tunes on each of her albums - on 'The Way It Is' it was 'Love'; on Just Like You' it was 'Falling Out' and 'Brand New is in the same league!!!
