2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and nasty, 28 Oct. 2013

Really poor quality, cutting one sheet of card results in frayed edges. Do not buy as you are just wasting your money. You get what you pay for!

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful - simply doesnt work, 22 Oct. 2012

This arrived quickly as usual. I used it for a call and noticed that after the call one earpiece had fallen off. I attached this easily and didn't really think anything of it. 2 days later and I am on a Skype conference call and everything goes silent - the headphones simply don't work. If I wiggle the cable I can get sound sometimes but this is no good for a business product. Do not buy.

Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 Webcam
Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000 Webcam

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality but expensive, 4 Dec. 2009

One of our clients needed a web cam that was "Excellent Quality" and easy to use - this sure fits the bill.

We were using Vista and the webcam comes with a sticker over the USB port telling you not to insert into PC until you have installed software - you must follow this advice or you will waste a lot of time trying to undo the auto-installation of drivers.

We had to download an update to the software but this only took around 10 minutes.

The quality of the image and sound is truly excellent - very clear and not much distortion when far away or close up.

There are a number of cheaper web cams available which do a similar job - but not the same.

If you need a functional webcam try the LifeCam VX-3000 Win USB Port EN/NL/FR/DE EMEA Hdwr which is almost half price. If you want exceptional quality then this cam is for you.

Excel 2003 All-in-one Desk Reference for Dummies
Excel 2003 All-in-one Desk Reference for Dummies

4.0 out of 5 stars Good reference book which will suit most users, 4 Dec. 2009

We use this book when we deliver our Excel introduction and Excel Intermediate courses. The guide is laid out in a strange way. The first book (there are 9 mini books in one) contains some good topics like terminology and screen layout etc but the same book goes on to customising Excel with new Menu Bars and Speech commands that most people will never use.

The information is laid out in an easy to follow way and the screen shots and example scenarios do make sense. We recommend that our delegates use the book as a reference book back at work when stuck on something specific. The index is comprehensive and we usually find what we are looking for (although not always in the most logical of places!)

We would advise NOT to read this book as it is printed - it doesn't make sense and some topics appear much harder.

If you have used formulas in Excel before then this book is for you - it will answer your questions when you are stuck or need to use something new. If you havent used Excel at all before then be wary - there is no logical order to the book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent series but not muched changed since last edition, 4 Dec. 2009

We went to Orlando in 2009 and came to Amazon for a guide to take with us. The 2009 edition of this book was truly fantastic and really put us ahead of everyone else and gave us the info we needed - particularly in Disney (strategies, queuing etc).

I purchased the 2010 edition of this book almost as soon as it was purchased as we may have considered returning to Orlando during 2010. Some sections have been updated (Harry Potter world at Universal etc) but i didn't notice a huge difference otherwise - maybe i wasn't meant to.

If you are looking for a guide to Orlando and you haven't got the 2009 edition then but this guide! If you already have a previous edition I wouldn't bother - you can see what has changed online anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Reference Book -, 4 Dec. 2009

As a training company we obviously use a large number of training materials. We were looking for a book that could be used in our Project training course and this fits the bill nicely.

The book is written in a conversational style and some humor is included making it a bit less dry to read! There is also a fair amount of soft skills information here too - which are helpful pointers if you are new to working in, or with, large projects.

Our trainers and delegates don't really see a huge difference between Project 2007 and Project 2003 but this book gives a nice summary of the changes. Our delegates tell us the book is really good for reference/a reminder when back in the Office.

Some delegates did find the book a little "American", mainly in the narrative that goes with the book rather than the actual learning sections.
