5.0 out of 5 stars Must read, 25 Sept. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I cannot recommend this highly enough.

A thoughtful and well constructed book on America and it's activities in the last century and into this one.

I'd also recommend "The Secret Team: The CIA and Its Allies in Control of the United States and the World" by Fletcher Prouty.

Read in conjunction, they lay bare where America has been involved (globally), how and to what effect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal Book - Highly recommended, 25 Sept. 2013
Gives a detailed account of the reasons why the prison as built and how the inmates shaped it's structure.

Regardless of your own views as to the rights or wrong of the prisoners, it does expose the institution and shows how the incarcerated male reacts to their surroundings.

1.0 out of 5 stars A turkey - I gave it one start because I couldn't give less than that, 25 Sept. 2013
Having read most of the books available on all aspects of the subject, I can confidently say that this should be avoided.

Saying it was tissue thin would be an understatement.

I can't believe that the author now has a career as a "talking head" on the subject whenever it comes up in the news.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Book - Real football, 27 May 2008
This review is from: Left Foot Forward
Got this on a recommendation.

Great read showing the ups and downs of life as a footballer, and gives fantastic insight into the other side of the beautiful game.

Thoroughly recommend this to fans and players alike - you might not make it to the top (wherever that is) but it shows what contribution you can make when you put your heart and soul into it.
