1.0 out of 5 stars not an autobiography, 29 July 2009
this is most definitely not an autobiography but rather a book of murrays life in poetry. Most of the book is like reading a very boring poem. I read the book because i wanted to know the figher and about the fights he had in the ring, i didnt want to read poetry. I found the book at best boring and after one chapter i was about to put it down but i kept reading incase it got better.... it didnt. The only possible way one could like this book is if they like poetry. i DONT! there are alot better autobiographies out there

5.0 out of 5 stars great book!, 20 Jun 2009
This review is from: Hard Road to Glory (Hardcover)
an excellent book i would def recommend. Tells the story of how nelson was the laughing stock of the gym, blew 2 world title chances and ultimately fulfilled his potentital and went on to become world champion. in between we hear of his beatings in the gym as he learned to hone his skills and sparring trips abroad where he was 'fresh meat off the plane'. it is a very funny and moving book. a book for the underdog, for anyone who is struggling to believe in themselves, johnny nelson proves you can achieve your dreams with stubborness and hard work, despite terrible setbacks. a classic!
