5.0 out of 5 stars Great for mixing protein powder drinks, 9 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I decided to move from eating protein bars to drinking protein shakes (it's cheaper, lower calories, more protein for your calories). I remembered the disaster of mixing slimming powder with milk in days gone by and having to sieve the liquid to get out the lumps of powder that wouldn't mix. Therefore, I decided to try a protein shaker bottle, but then I came across this. For a few pounds more I could get a shaker with a mixer installed. The mixer is amazing, and takes just 2 x AAA batteries. You add your chosen liquid, turn the motor on (with the lid off) and a vortex is created in the liquid. And yes it is tempting to put your finger in the vortex, but this probably isn't recommended. You add your chosen powder, let it mix for a few seconds and voilà, a perfectly mixed protein shake. You can drink the shake straight from the shaker (which is completely sealed once the lid is on - nothing seeps out), or pour it into a glass. The motor part is removable for when you want to wash the shaker and has a rubber base for gripping the work surface. There's a great video review on youtube if you want to see this in action. Super fast delivery by the sellers and packaged perfectly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good first novel, 15 Jan. 2009
This book certainly isn't my favourite of the many books aimed at this age group but it's still worth a read. The story sees a boy fleeing from his family and ending up in a small town, arriving at the same time as a mysterious man. Together, they live in the town, buying secrets from the townsfolk in exchange for considerable sums of money. This allows the townsfolk to repay their debts to the man who owns the whole town. Once, their work is complete, they move on. That is the story in a nutshell. It was an enjoyable read, however it did not stretch my imagination or surprise me with any twists. Overall, a good first novel.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have done better, 11 July 2007
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Every knows that the Goblet of Fire game was pretty poor and there were high hopes for improvements in this game. There have been some improvements - the graphics are superb and you can once again explore the entire castle but I do feel that the magic of the early games (especially the 1st and 2nd) has been lost. The castle is so big its nearly impossible to find your way around without the help of the map. There are a lot of cut scenes where I think there could have been some gameplay. The side quizzes/games are not very good. Lighting torches and putting pictures back on walls pretty much sums them up, although wizard chess is ok if you have any idea how to play chess. Gone are the days of finding wizard and witches cards and flying around and playing quidditch. You get random points for using magic on things around the castle even though nothing really happens to the things you cast the spells on in the first place. There are teacher challenges but challenge is probably too strong a word for this. Nothing like the classroom challenges of the early games. The game is very short, it would take up more time if you completed the game 100% but I honestly can't be bothered to wander around the castle to light torches and reveal hidden giant chess pieces. Also, there aren't any hidden passages - there are portraits to go through but they just take you to another populated area of the school. Ultimately, the game has improved on the 4th game but I think the main aim of the makers was to make money and not a lot else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great text, 16 Aug. 2005
This review is from: Law of Contract (Paperback)
One of the authors, Laurence Koffman, is one of the contract law lecturers at my university. So, naturally, this was the textbook recommended to us. At first I bought a different text, which I found hard to follow, so I got this book instead. It is easy to read but has all the detail you would need for this subject at undergraduate level. It is especially useful for students at Sussex university as the textbook and the lectures are virtually the same. I think it would also be very useful for those at other universitys and this book helped me get a high grade in the subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alias game for Xbox, 24 April 2004
This review is from: Alias (Xbox) (Video Game)
I am a fan of the show and definately a fan of the game. The gamefeatures locations and disguises used in the show like Sydney's silverwaitress outfit in the casino and the asylum in Romania makes anappearance. There are also new locations and disguises so you won't feellike you're just re-enacting the show. There are a variety of weapons touse from the usual guns and batons to electric guitars and brooms. Marshall's op tech equipment helps you get through doors and lasers butwatch out for the turret guns, they're a nuisance. All the favouritecharacters from the show appear and you even get to play as Vaughn for ashort time. It's a shame you don't get to play as him for longer as hispunches and kicks are more effective than Sydneys. Overall, this is anexcellent game whether you are a fan of the show or not. Only bad pointis it only took me one week to complete but still worth it.
