1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother - get the real thing instead, 6 July 2012
Don't waste your money - spend less than £1 more & get the actual Harcombe Diet for Men - it's very simple already !
Or spend an extra £3 and get the full version of "Stop Counting Calories".

Don't be fooled by imitations.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short & to the point, 9 Dec 2011
This does exactly what it says. Although I'd never heard of some of the diets Laura explained the salient points well and gave some useful pros & cons. The final conclusions were very interesting.
It was a shame Laura didn't get to finish her year, I would be interested in a follow-up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of great ideas for all Phases of the Harcombe diet, 22 Sep 2011
This is the new, improved version of the recipe book so even if you already have the old version it's definitely worth getting. Much easier to find your old favourites (it's now organised by Phase) and lots of interesting new recipes, it's the ideal companion to the diet book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The same great advice as the original in a very easy to digest format, 22 Sep 2011
This is the book for anyone who just wants the basic details of the diet.
It's got all the same great advice as the original version but is very easy to read & handy to carry around.
This diet seems to work really well for men, all the things they like to eat - meat, meat & more meat & not much of the things they don't - fruit, pasta.
Three simple phases & plenty of real food - it's that easy to say Goodbye to Mr Fat Guy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great update, 4 Aug 2011
If you thought the original book was great, this update is even better. The basic principles remain the same - losing weight is not about eat less, do more but eat naturally, move naturally.
With additional information about why the calorie theory is wrong and a much clearer Q&A section, this book is worth getting even if you already own the original book and if you don't it will open up a much better way to take control of your eating & your weight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating insight into why we're making ourselves fat, 31 Oct 2010
This book explains in great detail why everything we think we know and are constantly being told about healthy eating is wrong.
I was horrified to read how little scientific basis there is for much of what we are told.
If you think eat less, do more will help to you lost weight you need to read this book and find out why in the long-term, it won't.
If you at all interested in nutrition and health it is a must read.
